Ever wonder how to navigate through new roles and responsibilities as you transition to adulthood?

In June we will focus on transitioning to adulthood. We have an incredible lineup of topics for our youth and young adults with several of our own Regional Coordinators. On the day of the event, come to our page from 12:00pm – 12:30pm to watch these live series:

Thursday, June 10th – After high school do you want to go straight to work? Find out more about your options.

Tuesday, June 15th – Are you heading to college? Tips and suggestions on college accommodations.

Thursday, June 17h – What are your skills, talents and passions? How can you use these to decide what you want to do?

The East Cobb and Tucker crews haven’t had much of a chance to get together in person in the last year. With Judy Feng (Tucker RBT) returning to China in the coming weeks we thought a group hike was a great way to get together to celebrate her. Judy has been with Tucker since it’s opening almost a year ago and we are so grateful for her and all of our amazing RBTs. Thank you for being a part of our Village Judy, we will miss you.

Today marks one year since we made the decision to pause our in person services due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. This was a difficult decision; however protecting, supporting, and uplifting our community is where our passions lay.

We are full of gratitude for our village community today and everyday. It is because of your commitment to everyone’s health and safety that we are able to return to in-person services.

Thank you Village Autism Center community for allowing us to do what calls us everyday.

2020 was a challenging year to say the least. Despite a Global Pandemic, Village Autism Center has remained committed to high quality, safe services for children with autism and their families.

Through this year we have continued to grow together by opening a 2nd location, earning BHCOE 3-year accreditation, winning awards for clinical excellence, providing professional development opportunities to clinical staff, and providing quality supervision so that employees can earn their RBT credentials, Master’s degrees, and beyond.

We have weathered the storm of 2020 and we remain hopeful and optimistic about what 2021 will bring for our close knit Village community.

We wish everyone in our Village community a safe and Happy New Year! 🎉

Finding reasons to celebrate is easy! Finding ways to do so safely takes a bit more creativity these days. Despite 2020 being A YEAR the students and staff at Village Autism Center have had lots of successes. This afternoon we were able to come “together” to celebrate those success, and each other, with our virtual holiday party. We look forward to 2021 and all the successes it will bring for our Village. #ittakesavillage

7 Best Tips to Prepare for an ABA Job Interview Read more: https://aba-works.com/aba-job-interview/ As someone who has worked in many roles within the field (i.e., behavior technician, RBT, BCaBA, BCBA, and special education teacher) and in many settings (home, community, clinic, and schools), I know many of the challenges that come with preparing for a job interview in this field. Here are 7 tips that have helped me get hired.
Question, we've lived in another state and are new to the area. Where we came from, children were covered completely for all medical care when they had special needs or a medical diagnosis. Is there any difference like that here in Georgia? Our insurance isn't covering what we need at all. Help? Also, my son is twelve and since we're homeschooling, he hasn't made a friend yet. Looking for playdates and activities? It's been crazy with moving and finding new doctors, but we need to find some fun events for him. Thanks in advance!!! — looking for recommendations.
