How about this week's nibbles? Let me know in the comments which article you liked the most. I loved the podcats from #1 on Love, Loss and Life.

As my friend Rick would say: we tend to focus on news and information we cannot really do anything about.

Yes, there is a lot you can do about prediabetes and diabetes. They are preventable and reversible.

Does that mean that after you get healthy you can go back to eating as before? No, it means that once you get healthy you have a renewed appreciation for your life and your body and other habits would have taken the place of the old as in: if you used to sit on the couch with a bag of potato chips (hello simple carbs, seed oils and salt) and finish it off, now you may enjoy a night riding your bike or going on a stroll with a friend. It is not simple but it is not complicated either.

Do not fall for the narrative: you have more power than you know.

Massive thanks to Joel Thomas for his Sunday talk on hard choices – his graph instantly sparked a connection for me to the health aspect of our lives! Where do you think one is more likely to be diagnosed with a degenerative, chronic illness? A, B, or C?

Piggybacking on Joel's ideas: if you think it is expensive to eat healthy, wait till you see how expensive disease is. If you think it is hard to exercise and do mobility exercise, wait till you see how hard it is not to be able to use your body.

Choose your hard.

In my opinion, phase B is the most challenging. The tension is high, the desire to quit even higher. That is where I come in so you would not walk alone. DM for details on my offerings or to schedule a free one hour counseling session.

My May reads!
First up, if you're someone who tends to get caught in a spiral of overthinking and rumination, do yourself a favor and pick up "You Are Not Your Thoughts." It offers such a refreshing perspective and practical tools. Fun fact: I accidentally ended up with two copies – I guess the universe really wanted me to absorb its message!

Next, I tackled "The Practice of Groundedness," and wow, this book is packed! It's like a masterclass in well-being, building on some of the powerful ideas from "You Are Not Your Thoughts." So many golden nuggets in there (maybe too many?!)

And for those of you with a soft spot for historical fiction, I found two absolute delights: "The Underground Library" and "Carnegie's Maid." Both are wonderful reads, especially if you're looking for something engaging to bring along on your next vacation.
The Underground Library https://amzn.to/4mLsNHe
Carnegie's Maid (great for Bookclubs) https://amzn.to/4koQrHZ

Happy reading, everyone! What's on your June TBR list?
