UPword’s new story looks at this program and other local efforts, including work at the Alger County Commission on Aging and Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital. Read it here: https://upwordmichigan.com/food-as-medicine-prescription-for-a-healthier-u-p/

The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department's UP MOM Program is strengthening Community Health Worker capacity and transportation assistance serving these individuals, across five Western U.P. counties, from pregnancy through 12 months postpartum.
