SNEAK PEEK ALERT:
We are very much in the beginning stages of preparing. Still clearing the space of items so we can move our items in.
And then we still need to do a thorough cleaning to ensure our folks are coming into a space that has been provided thoughtful preparation.
But one of the spaces I am most excited about is this dining area.
If you have served or stayed with us before, you’re aware that the spaces we have utilized for dining areas before were also the spaces where folks were sleeping.
Not anymore.
This is where our neighbors will be served a meal by other neighbors. Where resources can be made available for people to access to help bridge them to their next journey.
We are very much undergoing many changes as this transition occurs. I know we have had many people ask about donating items and such. And until I can get all of our items to the new location, I am unsure of what we need or where we will store things.
We currently are working on restructuring our staffing model. And as soon as that is developed, we will make announcements.
Until we get the structure in place, I will be unable to do volunteer trainings and recruitment.
This is all a process and I appreciate you all so much for your patience.
We are excited and eager. But moving forward with true intentionality.
