Yesterday marks a major milestone in my journey as an inventor and business owner!

After years of research, development, countless hours of work, trial and error, and navigating the patent process, today I officially signed a licensing agreement for one of my inventions!

It's difficult to put into words what reaching this point means to me. Honestly, I don't think it has completely sunk in yet.

What started as a simple idea has grown into something much bigger than I originally imagined. There have been plenty of challenges along the way, but every obstacle has been another opportunity to learn, improve, and keep moving forward.

This isn't the finish line. It's the beginning of an entirely new chapter, with product development, manufacturing, and hopefully some exciting opportunities ahead.

For now, I'm keeping some of the details under wraps, but I look forward to sharing more as things progress.

A little symmetry, a little sparkle, and a whole lot of personality!

Here's a recent set of dermal anchor piercings I had the opportunity to do at Infusion Studio, LLC.

These two dermal anchors were placed on opposite sides of the face, creating a balanced look with beautiful blue-green opal jewelry that really stands out.

One of the things I enjoy about body modification is the opportunity to work with different anatomy, placement, and jewelry combinations to create something unique for each individual.

Another milestone for Bee Oasis. My third patent is officially in hand!

After all the time spent developing, documenting, and working through the patent process, the official paperwork has finally arrived. There's something pretty rewarding about holding those documents and knowing what it took to get to this point.

What people see as a finished product is really only a small part of the story. Behind it are countless hours of designing, building prototypes, testing ideas, making adjustments, and sometimes starting over entirely. Not everything works the first time, and that's part of what makes developing something new so interesting.

Over the years, Bee Oasis has become much more than a single product. It's been an opportunity to learn, experiment, challenge myself, and continue building on ideas that started with nothing more than a concept.

And the work certainly hasn't stopped.

I currently have several other products in various stages of development, including projects that reach beyond Bee Oasis and into completely different industries. Each comes with its own challenges, and each gives me something new to figure out.

For me, the excitement has never been just about reaching the finish line. It's about everything that happens along the way, from that first idea to finally seeing something you've created become a reality.

Three patents. Several more projects underway. And plenty of ideas still waiting to be brought to life.

I'm looking forward to seeing where the next chapter of product development takes me.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been building things, developing ideas, solving problems, and trying to turn concepts into something real.

Infusion Studio was never meant to be only one thing. Body modification has been at the core of what I’ve built for more than two decades, and it always will be, but the larger vision has always gone beyond the walls of the shop.

I’ve always believed in diversification. Every business and every industry has its busy seasons, slow seasons, challenges, and opportunities. Rather than depending on one product, one service, or even one industry, I’ve worked toward creating multiple paths forward.

That mindset is what led to Bee Oasis® and into product development, prototyping, engineering, patenting, manufacturing, and licensing. It’s also what continues to push me toward the next ideas.

The Infusion Care Collection is another part of that expansion—taking years of real-world experience in body modification and using it to develop professional products with an actual purpose behind them. And there are more projects being developed now that will eventually move through testing, refinement, and patent protection of their own.

Some ideas will stay connected to body modification. Others may have absolutely nothing to do with it. That’s the point.

I don’t want to build something that survives only because I’m standing behind the counter every day. I want to build something larger than myself—businesses, intellectual property, products, systems, and brands that can continue after I’m gone and give the next person something substantial to build upon.

Bee Oasis now has multiple issued patents and a registered trademark behind it, and after years of development, I’m currently at the stage where a final licensing agreement is being prepared. It hasn’t been signed yet, so there is still another step to go, but reaching this point has reinforced something I’ve believed for a long time:

One vision doesn’t have to mean one path.

Create. Develop. Solve. Protect. Bring it to market. Reinvest. Then build the next thing.

That’s the direction I’m heading.

I know this isn’t a body modification post, but this one just had to be shared.

I checked my emails early this morning before heading into work and had a pretty exciting update waiting for me — I received the first draft of the licensing agreement for Bee Oasis®.

I still need to sit down and carefully read through everything, but during our last Zoom meeting, the company made it clear that they can be very flexible with the terms of the agreement.

So far, so good.

What I know at this point is that the agreement includes a 3-year licensing term, a royalty percentage, and an advance. There are still plenty of details for me to review, understand, and potentially negotiate before anything is finalized.

This is still not a for-sure thing. Nothing has been signed yet, and there are still steps that need to happen before any of this becomes official.

But it is closer.

A hell of a lot closer.

My main objective today is simple: go through all of the paperwork carefully and make sure I understand exactly what is being proposed.

And honestly, the timing of this could not be any better. I now have five new products that have made it through all of the testing I needed to complete and are ready to move into the patenting stage. If this licensing agreement moves forward, it could help open the door for me to keep pushing those projects ahead as well.

For those of you who have supported Infusion Studio, Bee Oasis, and all of the ideas and projects I’ve worked on throughout the years — thank you. I truly appreciate everyone who has followed along, encouraged me, shared my work, purchased products, or simply believed in what I was trying to build.

Infusion Studio has always been a huge part of the foundation that allowed me to keep working on Bee Oasis, and this feels like another major step forward.

A different take on the traditional industrial piercing — this floating industrial was designed to work with the anatomy instead of forcing a standard straight-bar placement.

The result is a bold industrial look with a more customized fit and angle. Every ear is different, and sometimes the best piercing setup comes from adapting the jewelry and placement to the individual anatomy.

Another flat helix piercing completed at Infusion Studio!

This is another piercing I performed using a tool I’ve been designing and developing specifically to improve stability, control, and placement during certain ear piercings. I’ve been putting it through real-world testing, making adjustments along the way, and I’m very happy with how it has been performing.

There’s something especially rewarding about combining nearly 25 years of piercing experience with designing new tools that may help make the process even more precise.

Another one from the testing process — this time a double rook piercing set.

Both piercings were done using a piercing tool I’ve been developing and continuing to refine through real-world testing. Each piercing gives me more information on control, stability, placement, and how the tool performs on different anatomy.

I’ll be posting more free piercing opportunities as I continue working on and testing additional tools, so stay tuned and keep an eye out for the next post.
