Together, we can make a difference! The Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association is a not for profit organization based out of 420 S. Closner, in Edinburg, TX. It's mission is to raise awareness of Diabetes Types 1 and 2, and promote prevention of Diabetes Type 2 in Hidalgo County in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

NOVEMBER IS NATIONAL DIABETES AWARENESS & PREVENTION MONTH!
Together, we can make a difference in our community!
The Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association (RGVDA) invites our entire community to join us this November as we come together to raise awareness, promote diabetes prevention, and raise much-needed funds to support our mission.
We have several exciting fundraising events planned throughout the month, and we need YOUR support!
Whether you’re shopping, enjoying a delicious meal, or attending a special event, your participation helps us continue bringing diabetes awareness, education, and prevention to families throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
Please take a look at the dates, times, and locations listed on our flyer and join us in supporting these wonderful local businesses that are giving back to our community!
We are also inviting more local businesses to get involved! If you own a business and would like to partner with RGVDA for a fundraising event or have any questions, please call us at 956-318-1900.

National DEA Take Back Day is a nationwide event where people can safely get rid of unused, expired, or unwanted prescription medications.
The purpose of this event is to:
Prevent drug misuse: Keep medications from falling into the wrong hands.
Protect children and pets: Reduce accidental poisonings.
Protect the environment: Prevent people from flushing medications down the toilet or throwing them in the trash.
Provide free disposal: You can drop off medications at participating locations, usually with no questions asked.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month!
This November, we are proud to partner with local restaurants to raise awareness about diabetes and the importance of education and prevention in our community.
Join us on November 6th at Reyna’s BBQ on North 10th Street!
A portion of your meal purchase will be donated to the Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association (RGVDA) to support our ongoing efforts in diabetes awareness, education, and prevention.
Enjoy a delicious meal while supporting a great cause! Tell your friends! Hope to see you there!
