As Breast Cancer Awareness month is upon us, I want to take this moment to request your assistance. If you are thinking about supporting a cause during the month of October, please consider the Me Again Go Fund Me.
Insurance does not cover 100% of care. Me Again has done our best over the past year to continue to provide care AND absorb approximately $10,000 worth of insurance denials and delayed payments as we continue to treat the next woman.
As an example, insurance has denied the nighttime compression garment because “she” received her daytime garment on the same day. Keep in mind, these are all medically necessary garments, dispensed with a physician’s prescription and as part of the therapy she is undergoing with a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. We have appealed, unsuccessfully.
To close this gap, we look for every resource available and yet this is the amount we continue to absorb.
Billing the woman is contractually not allowed and we WOULD NEVER ask for the garment to be returned.
