Our team offers personalized instruction including smart, safe movement, and tools to help relax your body and mind. Without mirrors, we are able to focus on how our body feels in the postures, rather than how it looks. Yoga IS for you. Can't touch your toes? Yes, yoga is for you. Never been to a yoga class? Yoga is for you, too. Noticing your metabolism slowing down? Aging body aches and pains? Feeling stressed out and anxious? Medfield Yoga is definitely for you. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful space so you can create more space for yourself. You can find the class schedule and register at www.medfieldyoga.com. Status update:
My body is in Medfield.
My brain is somewhere over the Atlantic, eating a croissant.

I'm treating jet lag the only way I know how: getting back into my routine and an embarrassingly early bedtime.

Now, the question everyone asked on the way home: "Where are we going next?"

Costa Rica. 2027.
Which is... already sold out.

You people move FAST.

Want first dibs on whatever comes after that? DM me and I'll make sure you hear first.

Picture this.

A room where nobody needs anything from you.
Warm light. Quiet. Someone else is in charge of the plan.
You breathe all the way to your belly for the first time since... August?
You leave taller. Looser. Calmer than you walked in.

France?
Nope.
Second floor, 28A Park Street, Medfield.

Same feeling. Shorter drive.

New to us? Two weeks, 4 classes for $56. Any class, any teacher, livestream included. First-timers only.

A little retreat every day for two weeks. Zero jet lag.

Email us and we'll help you pick your first class.

"I'm not flexible enough for yoga."

That's like saying you're too dirty to take a shower.

I hear it every week. From people who've run departments, raised kids, and managed their parents' doctor appointments.

All of that? No problem.
Yoga? "Oh no, I can't even touch my toes."

Nobody here cares if you can touch your toes.
We have blocks. Straps. Chairs. We use them constantly, and not because anyone's "behind."

You don't get flexible and then come to yoga.
You come to yoga and get less stiff. Which is honestly the whole goal.

New here? Get our New Student Intro. Every class, every teacher, livestream included. First-timers only.

Your toes can wait.

Today is Indigenous Peoples' Day.

The land our studio sits on, and the river and woods we're lucky enough to live near, were cared for by the Wôpanâak (Wampanoag), Massa-adchu-es-et (Massachusett), Pauquunaukit (Pokanoket) people long before any of us got here.

They still are. Indigenous communities are not history. They're here.

Today we're taking a minute to learn whose land we're on, listen to Native voices, and say thank you.

Whose land are you on? You can look it up at native-land.ca.

3:58 a.m.
Wide awake.
Heart doing a little tap dance for no reason.
Mentally rewriting a conversation from 2019.

If that's you lately, it might not be "just stress."

In perimenopause and beyond, shifting hormones affect how your body handles stress. A lot of women find their nervous system gets jumpier. Quicker to rev up. Slower to calm down. Sleep takes a hit. Anxiety can show up for the first time in your life.

And nobody warned you.

You can't argue your nervous system into calming down. (Believe me. I tried.)
You have to show it.

Long, slow exhales.
Movement that pulls your attention into your body and out of your to-do list.
A few minutes lying still at the end of class, doing absolutely nothing, on purpose.

That's not fluffy. That's practice. Your body learns calm by repeating it until it stops being a fight.

Try it tonight: in for a count of 4, out for 6 or 8. Ten rounds. Lights off.

Tonight I fly to France with a small group of people who have spent decades being the ones who plan everything.

The trips. The meals. The birthdays. The carpools.

For six days, they don't plan a thing.
Rides handled. Meals handled. Yoga handled.
Their only job is to rest.

That's the point. Not the château. Not the w**e. (Okay. A little the w**e.)
The point is finding out how you feel when nobody needs anything from you.

I'll share what I can from the Loire Valley.
Meanwhile, the studio is in great hands, classes run as usual, and livestream is there like always.

À bientôt.

One yoga class is lovely, but it is not going to change your life.

Weird thing for a studio owner to say, I know.

One class is a nice hour. You leave calmer. You sleep a little better that night.

Then life happens. Two weeks go by. Your back tightens up. You start over. Again.

Real change happens in the boring middle.
The Tuesday you didn't feel like going and went anyway.
Week four, when your hips open a little faster.
Month two, when you realize you haven't thought about your back in days.
Month three, when a friend says "you seem really good lately."

That's what a membership is for.
Creating a habit. A rhythm.

You can pick: 4, 5, 8, 12, or unlimited classes a month.
In person, livestream from your living room, or on demand at 9pm in your pajamas.

Make a plan so you're not guessing which classes will actually help your body.
And teachers who notice when you've been missing.

It takes "should I go?" out of your week. You just go.

Not sure which one fits? DM me. I love this conversation.

Yesterday's challenge follow up!
2 other options to try!

10/06/2026

Try this today. Seriously.

Sit down on the floor.
Now get back up.

Did you grab the couch?
Push off one knee?
Make a noise you'd rather nobody heard?

You're not "just getting older."

Getting off the floor takes leg strength, core strength, balance, and hips that still know how to move. All four fade in midlife if we don't ask them to work.

Yoga asks. Every class.
Down to the mat. Back up. Balance on one foot. Wobble. Laugh. Repeat.

The catch: one class won't do it.
Consistent practice will.

That's why our members pick a rhythm, anywhere from 4 classes a month to unlimited, and stick with it. Not willpower. A plan.

Floor test results in the comments. I've made the noise too.
