🥵Ahhh it looks like that time of year again! PLEASE be vigilant for f@ke artists claiming to work at Space Mermaid– our artists are listed in our bio and on our website (verified via Google)

💥Do not EVER give people soliciting you online 💸 for a deposit. If you have worked with one of our artists before, have a going correspondence with them, or are scheduling from out of town, we do have a way to take a digital deposit if a consultation is not possible or unnecessary. 💥However we will NOT solicit clients randomly for ANY reason.

❌If you receive messages from anyone claiming to be a tattoo artist or looking to book you for an appointment, do NOT send them $$
☑️Call the shop you work with or are inquiring about directly.
☑️Confirm that the artist is who they say they are first.
☑️Schedule a consultation if you are local or contact an artist directly via their preferred contact method.

✨Artists reaching out is not unheard of, but there is a right way to go about reaching out to clients and your artist should never solicit you for a tattoo.

✨Posers will try to get your 💸 before scheduling, getting details or even talking an idea out. Be vigilant; if it feels off, it probably is.

Much love, mermaids!🖤🫶✨

💫Well Mermaids, something must be in the water because this nonsense is going around again—

💸PLEASE watch out for posers trying to steal your money via IG or FB messenger—
always verify that the person you are conversing with really works at our shop.

This is not the first time this has happened and unfortunately there's not much we can do and Meta has not been any help, so always verify your artist. Do not give ANY money or personal information to anyone not verified by us or our website✨

While there are occasions where we may take a deposit digitally for your appointment (for instance if you're not local/traveling for your appointment, scheduling a pre-drawn flash piece or booking an advertised day) however the only way to avoid being swindled is to verify either with the shop directly via phone, email or socials—or know that you are speaking directly with your preferred artist.

Stay safe out there, Mermaids!😎💪🖤✨
