๐ป๐ **Practicing Social Skills Doesn't Have to Feel Like Homework!**
Halloween can offer opportunities to practice everyday social interactionsโbut remember, participation should never be forced.
If your teen wants to participate, try practicing a few common situations together:
๐ฃ๏ธ Saying โtrick or treatโ or โthank youโ
๐ช Approaching a door or greeting a neighbor
๐ค Taking turns and respecting personal space
๐ฌ Asking for help when needed
๐ Communicating when they're ready to take a break
Not every interaction has to look the same. Speaking, gestures, communication devices, and other forms of expression all count!
๐ **Confidence grows when we make room for practice, patience, and individuality.**
At S.A.I.L. Coaching & Consulting, we support teens in building communication skills, confidence, and independence in ways that honor their individual needs.
