Let's talk about why annual chimney sweeps matter in Memphis:

Every time you burn wood in your fireplace, tar-like residue called creosote builds up inside your flue. Once it reaches 1/8 inch (about 3 months of regular fires), it becomes highly flammable — creosote ignites at 451°F and a chimney fire can hit 2,000°F in minutes.
