👉 It's important to us to show up for our communities, so that's exactly what the Ohio team did earlier this month!

A group of about 100 people hosted a 5k walk, run, or roll, hosted by the Central Ohio Spina Bifida Alliance (COSBA). October is Spina Bifida Awareness Month, and we are grateful our colleagues showed up to provide a goodie bag to participants.

While we love getting to meet everyone who participates in events like these, we realize they are vital opportunities to connect those in search of supports with providers (like us!) who can help.

Way to go, Ohio, and if you were there leave a ‘Like’ to let us know, it was great meeting you!

🩷 Faith. Hope. Believe. Breast Cancer touches millions of people across the country. For many of us, it is personal.

Last week, our Dungarvin Wilmington (NC) team held an internal luncheon to celebrate – and support – the many lives affected by breast cancer in their community. On the tree are names of family members, friends and fellow Dungarvin team members who were diagnosed with breast cancer and are still with us, as well as those who are not.

Our colleagues in KY and TX want to honor those they know and those they support that identify as having Down Syndrome. 💙 💛

Our teams in both Lexington and San Angelo dressed in blue and yellow in honor of this awareness month, with the TX team specifically honoring Krystal, an individual served. They cited her passion for art, her cheerful and kind heart, as well as her bright smiles that light up those around her!

In honor of our teams – and individuals like Krystal – we are happy to share everyone’s collective and individual support!

We're celebrating decades of hardworking professionals in October! 🥳

Words can’t properly convey the value of each of these loyal Dungarvin employees, regardless of specific number of years they are celebrating, or particular position.

Listed in this photo are the names of those professionals across the country in various roles who have spent large portions of their lives working with us to respect and respond to the choices of those in need of supports. We don’t take that lightly and we want to express our gratitude for the thousands of days they show up to make a difference in someone’s life.

In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we want to give a special shout-out to dependable partners, such as Value Village!

Employment Specialists, like Larissa Akin in Oregon, help individuals like Dennis connect with local businesses that provide them with opportunities to gain employment through supportive and stable jobs, which in turn, allows them to pursue further independence!

Today, we're especially grateful for our community partners who help us help others!

📣 Sometimes, individuals who rely on Medicaid-funded disability services to live safe and full lives cannot advance in their jobs due to Medicaid income limits.

Dena Pulliam-Franklin, a Dungarvin Wisconsin Program Director, recently gathered with her colleagues to celebrate her 20-year Milestone Anniversary with the organization. 🏅

Her supervisor, Matt Makela, emphasized Dena’s positive attitude and dedication to Dungarvin’s mission of “respecting and responding to the choices of people in need of supports.”
