Sacramento, are you ready to put your reaction time to the test? 👀

This Saturday, October 24, Chris and Axel from mimofit will be at the 2026 PANC Education Conference, and we're bringing the mimo pods for you to try!

Come discover how mimofit combines visual and auditory cues, movement, and time-based challenges to make exercise more interactive and engaging for people living with Parkinson's.

Research into reactive, time-constrained training has shown promising results for movement speed, reaching, and stepping — and we'd love to show you how these principles are incorporated into mimofit.

And here's another reason to stop by our table!

🎟️ Bring your conference stamp card! We'll be happy to stamp it after your visit. Collect 8 or more stamps by 1 PM for a chance to win prizes!

Just another day at the mimofit office.

Except… one of us appears to have relocated the office to a lake in Washington. 😎

While the rest of the team joined our weekly check-in from their slightly more conventional locations, Axel checked in from Alta Lake State Park, mimo pod in hand, as he made his way south for our next meetings with Parkinson’s communities.

Building mimofit involves a lot of calls, testing, feedback and planning behind the scenes.

Sometimes it also involves taking a meeting from the side of a lake.

Safe travels, Axel — and keep the mimo pods close. 😉

Training the affected side and increasing the challenge as you go.

In this video, Darryn Wright is trying a one-color tapping exercise focused on his affected side.
For Darryn, that means working specifically with his left hand, which has been giving him more trouble recently.

Three mimo pods. One hand. And a challenge that gradually gets faster. 👀

The exercise brings together coordination, attention, balance and executive function, requiring Darryn to react to the visual cues while maintaining his position and working specifically with the side he wants to challenge.

And there’s another mimofit feature you can spot in this video: the exercise speeds up as Darryn progresses, increasing the challenge throughout the session.

There was even an accidental pod switch-off along the way — but mimofit detected the disconnected pod and Darryn was able to reconnect and continue quickly.

By the third set, he was definitely feeling the challenge in his left hand — a good reminder to pay attention to how your body responds during exercise and adjust or stop when needed.

Another real, unfiltered look at what training with mimofit at home can look like.

One last stop. A lot of movement, laughter, and meaningful conversations. 💜

The inaugural mimofit Roadshow has officially come to an end, and we couldn't have asked for a better final stop than Coos Bay, Oregon!

Axel and his wife joined the Coos Bay General Interest Support Group for an afternoon of sharing experiences, asking questions, and, of course, putting mimofit to the test.

And what a welcoming group!

We had the opportunity to introduce different exercises, including reaction-time challenges, standing exercises combining hand and foot movements, and even a friendly light duel that gave Axel and his wife quite the workout!

But what made this visit particularly special wasn't just the exercises.

It was the conversations.

From discussing different approaches to movement and exercise for Parkinson’s to hearing participants imagine using mimofit with their grandchildren, the afternoon reminded us how much we can learn when we bring people together.

We were especially grateful to be welcomed into the group's conversations, where members openly shared their experiences, challenges, and advice with one another.

That's what makes Parkinson’s support groups so valuable: everyone brings something to the conversation, and everyone has something to teach us.

And after weeks of traveling, meeting coaches, visiting gyms, and introducing mimofit to Parkinson’s communities, we couldn't think of a more meaningful way to wrap up our first Roadshow.

A huge thank you to the Coos Bay General Interest Support Group, our facilitator Aaron, and everyone who welcomed us, asked questions, tried the exercises, and shared their experiences.

The first mimofit Roadshow may be over, but the conversations, connections, and ideas are only getting started.

And who knows where we'll go next? 👀

Sometimes the best stops on the mimofit Roadshow are the unexpected ones.

While passing through Walla Walla, Washington, Axel stopped by ZAP Boxing to meet owner and Rock Steady Boxing coach Ramon — and it didn’t take long for the ideas to start flowing.

After seeing mimofit in action, Ramon immediately began thinking of different ways to incorporate the pods into his Rock Steady Boxing classes, particularly the interactive number-based exercises.

And the ideas didn’t stop with Parkinson’s.

As an experienced boxer and coach, Ramon also saw potential for using mimofit with his youth boxing groups, opening up a completely different conversation around reaction, movement and training.

That’s one of our favorite things about taking mimofit on the road: we bring the technology, but coaches bring their own experience, creativity and understanding of their communities. And sometimes, within minutes, they’re already showing us possibilities we hadn’t considered.

Thank you, Ramon, for welcoming us to ZAP Boxing, for the enthusiasm, and for all the ideas.
Another great stop on the mimofit Roadshow — and another reminder of how much we learn when we put mimofit in the hands of great coaches.

Great music, lots of laughter, a little ice cream… and plenty of movement! 🥊

Another memorable stop on the mimofit Roadshow, this time at the Oregon Parkinson’s Warriors Foundation in Eugene!

Our team member Axel Loelhoeffel had the pleasure of joining two classes led by Lori, the incredible coach and founder behind this community.

Lori's journey started back in 2010, when someone living with Parkinson’s asked her to become his coach. What began with one person has since grown into a foundation offering nine classes a week, individual sessions, and a community where everyone is known by name, and even by their boxing nickname!

During our visit, we had the opportunity to introduce mimofit to two groups with different mobility needs, including a seated exercise class.

And what made the experience particularly special was how quickly Lori started exploring ways to incorporate mimofit into her sessions. By the second class, she and Axel were practically presenting together!

That's exactly what we love about the mimofit Roadshow: learning from experienced coaches, exchanging ideas, and discovering new ways to make exercise engaging and accessible for people living with Parkinson’s.

Between the creative exercises, great music, laughter, and even some ice cream afterward, it was clear that Lori has built something truly special.

A huge thank you to Lori and the Oregon Parkinson’s Warriors Foundation for welcoming us so warmly. We're already looking forward to coming back!

*One more thing: Lori is looking for additional coaches to join her team! If you're passionate about exercise and supporting people with Parkinson’s in the Eugene area, get in touch with the Oregon Parkinson’s Warriors Foundation to learn more.

Balance training with a little instant feedback.

In this video, Darryn Wright is putting one of our balance exercises to the test.

Here’s how it works:

Two mimo pods are placed on the floor, while a third is held in the hand to track balance during the exercise.

🟢 Left pod lights up → tap it with the left foot
🟢 Right pod lights up → tap it with the right foot

Simple instructions, but there’s a lot happening at once: balance, weight shifting, stepping, coordination, reaction and attention.

Darryn even noticed similarities with marching exercises he already does at Rock Steady Boxing — this time with mimofit adding an interactive cueing.

And this is exactly why we love having Darryn take us through these exercises: you get to see what using mimofit at home actually looks like.

More exercises coming soon.

When you meet someone who has spent years finding new ways to get the Parkinson’s community moving, there’s a lot to talk about.

Our team recently had the pleasure of visiting Kimberly Berg and Kimberly Berg's Rebel Fit Club in Portland — and what was supposed to be a conversation about mimofit quickly turned into 90+ minutes of ideas, exercise, community and possibilities for working together.

Kimberly has been active in the Parkinson’s community for years. From bringing movement to the World Parkinson Congress stage, to teaching at this year’s WPC, running Parkinson’s programs and virtual classes, fundraising, and even helping establish Parkinson’s Awareness Month in Portland — she knows how to get people moving (and how to get things done!).

Now, we’re excited to explore how mimofit can become part of that work.

Rebel Fit Club will be bringing mimofit into the gym, and we’re also exploring how the system could be incorporated into Kimberly’s small-group programs and even her virtual classes — creating new ways to combine guided exercise, technology and training both inside and outside the gym.

This is exactly the kind of collaboration we love: putting mimofit in the hands of experienced Parkinson’s professionals, listening to their ideas, and figuring out together how the technology can best serve their communities.

Thank you, Kimberly, for such an energizing conversation and for welcoming mimofit to Rebel Fit Club. We have a feeling this is just the beginning.
