The first time I heard the Holy Spirit clearly, He told me to get out of a truck or I was going to die..

I was in the middle of nowhere between Texas and Mexico. And even after getting out of that situation, I still couldn’t see the value in my own life..

I was so caught up in everything I was doing. Looking for something to fulfill me, but nothing ever did..

And that’s the thing. We spend so much of our lives chasing things, trying to fill something inside of us that this world was never meant to fill..

But the Holy Spirit has a voice. And when He spoke to me that day, there was no confusion. I knew I needed to listen..

Maybe you’ve been asking God to speak, but have you actually been making room to hear Him?

Just because your family didn’t turn out the way you prayed for doesn’t mean GOD is done with your story..

After my divorce I couldn’t stomach it. I felt like I let everyone down. My stepchildren. My ex-wife. My own kids..

But it wasn’t because He stopped loving me. It was because He wasn’t going to let me stay comfortable. We were led by the FLESH, and we led our family down the wrong path. He wanted to be the head of my household, and that meant I had to be led by Him first..

The mind governed by the FLESH is death. The mind governed by the SPIRIT is life and peace. When you’re submitted to GOD, you learn how to love your spouse, your kids, your neighbor, because love is what all of Scripture was fulfilled by..

Now I walk in peace every day. Christ redeemed what I was destroying while I chased identity through material things and other relationships 🔥

You don’t always attract what you want.. sometimes you keep choosing from the places in you that haven’t healed yet..

I thought getting in better shape would finally make me feel like enough. After every breakup I ran back to the gym to prove something. I’ll get in the best shape of my life. I’ll become successful. I’ll find someone better..

But the body was never the issue. I could change what I saw in the mirror and still carry the same rejection, the same loneliness, the same fear..

Then GOD showed me something I never wanted to admit. The pattern wasn’t only around me. It was in me. I kept asking Him to change the people I attracted while He was trying to change the person making the decisions..

Once He healed my IDENTITY, my standards changed. What I entertained changed. What I chased changed. You don’t need to live for identity, you need to live from it 🔥
