“How are you doing?” can open the door to a meaningful conversation. 💙

This World Mental Health Day, we’re reminding our community that emotional well-being matters at every age. Make time to check in with someone you love, listen without judgment, and reach out when you need support.

At Miami Jewish Health, we believe everyone deserves to feel heard, valued, and cared for.

At Miami Jewish Health, we believe every person deserves dignity, care, and a place to feel at home. That shared belief connects us with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami, whose work helps families build stability, hope, and brighter futures. We are grateful to support this mission alongside Matt Anderson, Chair of the Miami Jewish Health Foundation Board, and the Habitat team.

Today marks three years since October 7, the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. We mourn the approximately 1,200 people who lost their lives due to Hamas and honor all those taken hostage. We will never forget the innocent lives lost, the unimaginable pain carried by the families, and the lasting impact this has had on us. May their memories be for a blessing.

Give Miami Day is November 19, and this year, Miami Jewish Health is coming together around a mission that has guided us for more than 86 years: providing care, comfort, connection, and dignity to Miami's most vulnerable seniors and their families.

Our Give Miami Day theme, Driven by Compassion, reflects our commitment to meeting seniors where they are and removing the barriers that stand between them and the care they need. It means going further to bring medical care and support directly to older adults whose health, mobility, or transportation challenges too often limit access to care. Because distance should never stand between someone you love and the care they deserve. đź’™

This Give Miami Day, your gift will help launch the first-of-its-kind mobile clinic for Miami Jewish Health's PACE program, Florida PACE Centers, bringing vital healthcare services directly to seniors in need.

đź“… Save the date and join us on November 19.

🧠 Want to keep your memory sharp as you age? Research shows that healthy habits can make a real difference. Regular exercise, quality sleep, social connections, mentally stimulating activities, and managing conditions like hearing loss, high blood pressure, diabetes, and vision changes may help support brain health. As part of our Workplace Pantry Campaign celebration, Miami Jewish Health Foundation was proud to recognize the employees who helped bring this meaningful effort to life during a special appreciation luncheon this month. Representing 20 teams across our service lines and departments, these Ambassadors, Champions, and donors played an important role in rallying participation, sharing the campaign, and helping colleagues facing difficult circumstances know they are not alone. Their leadership and care reflect the very best of Miami Jewish Health and remind us that when we come together, we can make a real difference for one another. Thank you to everyone who gave, shared, and encouraged others to take part. Although the campaign has concluded, contributions to the Miami Jewish Health Workplace Pantry are always appreciated. Happy Sukkot! 🍋🌿

Sukkot is one of Judaism’s three major pilgrimage festivals, commemorating the temporary shelters the Israelites lived in during their journey through the desert after leaving Egypt.

Throughout this festive holiday, we gather in the sukkah, a temporary outdoor dwelling, and reflect on gratitude, community, and togetherness.

Wishing all who celebrate a Chag Sameach and a joyful Sukkot filled with meaningful moments and celebration!

Miami Jewish Health Foundation was proud to celebrate the remarkable people and partners who helped make our Workplace Pantry Campaign such a meaningful success. At a special reception hosted by Fogo de ChĂŁo, we recognized the employees, vendor partners, and friends whose participation helped provide essential food assistance to employees and their families facing food insecurity.
Thank you to everyone who took part and helped turn care into action. We are especially grateful to Fogo de ChĂŁo for graciously hosting us, and to TECO Peoples Gas and Yolanda Gonzalez Carvajal of SFR Physical Therapy for generously sponsoring the reception.
Together, we are making a real difference for those who care for our residents and patients every day. đź’™
