Postponed to Friday September 1st ⚠️

"Jū" can be translated as "gentle, soft, supple, flexible, pliable, or yielding", and "jutsu" can be translated as "art or technique". "Jujutsu" thus has the meaning of "yielding-art", as its core philosophy is to manipulate the opponent's force against themself rather than confronting it with one's own force.

Come learn about the art of Jiu Jitsu with on Friday August 25th at 6pm. Whether you want to get in shape, learn how to defend yourself/family or are just curious to learn about this effective martial art then this workshop is for you!

We will focus on some simple drills, Q&A, & finish with a post workshop ice bath 🧠

Great vibes from everyone who attended the first Plunge & Potluck @ Tides Beach in Rocky Point. We started the session by connecting through small talk & common interests, we then connected with our bodies learning to generate heat and become aware of the body we posses and how it moves. We then moved into some basic breath-work allowing ourselves permission to do nothing except connect with our lungs & body. Lastly we deliberately exposed ourselves to the cold salty water & enjoyed a well earned potluck provided by everyone who attended. Thank you to everyone who attended & stepped into their power! The Samadhi Tank, the original float tank design, is a favorite amongst the OG float community. A cozy 8’x4’x4’ tub filled with 10 inches of skin temperature water and 800 pounds of epsom salt provides a warm, zero gravity environment. The sound and light proof tank enforces the relaxation response and is comfortable & spacious. Additionally, the floater has complete control of entering and exiting as they wish.

If complete darkness and/or silence becomes intolerable, a soft blue light and underwater speakers are available for use. Since floating naturally eliminates outside distractions, we believe listening to guided meditations, podcasts, or audiobooks in the tank heightens one’s focus on the given content. It also promotes “superlearning,” the retainment of a tremendous amount of data in a fairly short amount of time. However, growing accustomed to the uniquely quiet environment is important for unplugging from our overstimulated world.
