Something she never thought she'd be able to do again!

Imagine not being able to sit cross-legged on the floor for years, and then discovering you can do it again!

One of my clients recently experienced just that.

After years of dealing with back pain and limitations in her movement following surgery, she has been discovering new possibilities through NeuroMovement.

Recently, she was able to sit on the floor with her legs crossed, something she hadn't thought she'd be able to do again!

Here's what she shared with me:

“I’m so excited and pleased with my progress! I never thought I’d cross my legs again too!! Thank you, thank you for bringing me this far too!!”

For her, the changes have gone beyond sitting cross-legged. She's also noticed improvements in her comfort and movement, including getting through periods of back stiffness without the spasms she once experienced.

Sometimes it's the things we thought we'd lost that mean the most when we rediscover them.

This is why I love sharing NeuroMovement with others. It's about learning, discovering possibilities, and finding more ease in everyday life.

What if you could do something again that you haven't been able to do comfortably in years?

After knee surgery several years ago, Chris continued to experience limitations in bending her right knee.

After several weeks of NeuroMovement lessons, she shared this with me:

“Hey Laura, thanks for working with me over the last several weeks. What a difference. Although I achieved pain relief in my hip, the thing I noticed most was being able to bend my right knee so much further without pain, allowing me to easily get up and down off the floor when playing with my grandkids.”

— Chris Sheets

**It's not just about moving better. It's about getting back to the things you love doing!**

This is what makes NeuroMovement so meaningful. Sometimes the greatest changes aren't measured in degrees of movement, but in what becomes possible in everyday life.

What would you love to be able to do with greater ease?

Balance is about more than standing on one foot!

On October 3rd, Ray Burns and I welcomed participants to our Balance Workshop: Discovering Stability Through Movement at the Greater Midland Community Center.

Throughout the afternoon, we explored how slowing down, moving with attention, and noticing differences can open up new possibilities for balance, coordination, and ease of movement.

Through standing, sitting, and floor lessons, participants had opportunities to discover how different parts of themselves work together to support balance.

One of the things I enjoy most about teaching NeuroMovement is watching people become curious, make discoveries, and experience movement in new ways.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, to Ray Burns for co-teaching, and to Garlynn for capturing the afternoon through photography!

Improving balance isn't always about trying harder. Sometimes it's about learning differently.

Small movements. Big possibilities.

What will we explore at the Balance Workshop?

We'll use the Nine Essentials of NeuroMovement® to create conditions that help your brain notice differences, learn, and discover new possibilities.

We'll slow things down, pay attention, explore subtle differences and variations, and notice how changes in movement, vision, weight shifting, breathing, and awareness can influence your balance.

You don't have to perform or “get it right.” This is about exploring, noticing, and learning.

We're looking forward to exploring all of this with everyone joining us on Saturday!

Balance is a learned ability.

Think about a baby learning to sit, stand and eventually walk. They aren't given instructions on how to balance. Through movement, exploration, falling, adjusting and trying again, their brain learns.

And learning doesn't stop when we grow up.

Our brains can continue to learn and discover new possibilities throughout life.

That's what we'll explore at our Balance Workshop — October 3.

Come learn how to improve your balance—not by trying harder, but by giving your brain new opportunities to learn.

Your brain has an important job—to organize movement. 🧠

Every time you move, your brain takes in information, makes sense of it, and organizes a response.

When it comes to balance, information from your eyes, feet, inner ear, muscles, joints and movement all contribute to how your brain organizes you to stay upright, adjust and respond.

That’s why improving balance is about more than strengthening muscles.

Give the brain better information, and you give it more opportunities to learn.

Come explore this with us at our Balance Workshop — October 3.
