Boost Oxygen Wins The 2026 “Life-Saving Innovation Of The Year” Award | Milford, CONN – Boost Oxygen, the worldwide leader in portable pure oxygen canisters, was awarded the prestigious “Life-Saving Innovation Of The Year” award during the First Responders Expo in Houston, Texas, held on October 14-15. The annual event is the premier trade show for Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Services professionals across the country, and focuses on showcasing the latest disaster prediction, prevention, and emergency response technologies.

The “Life-Saving Innovation Of The Year” award celebrates groundbreaking products, platforms, and technological tools that radically improve safety, speed, and recovery capabilities that directly reduce injury risks and save lives on the frontline during emergencies.

Since 2007, Boost Oxygen has provided portable pure oxygen canisters for all-natural respiratory support for emergency preparedness, altitude acclimation, poor air quality, shortness of breath and recovery and performance for athletes. In 2025, the company debuted an Extra-Large 12-Liter “Rapid Response” pure oxygen canister specifically designed for emergency preparedness and first-aid kits. Judges at the First Responders Expo were so impressed with the Rapid Response pure oxygen canister that they awarded Boost Oxygen with the “Life-Saving Innovation Of The Year” honor.

First Responders regularly administer oxygen during an emergency to increase the oxygen concentration in the lungs, allowing more oxygen to be absorbed. The extra oxygen can help with recovery by adding more oxygen to the bloodstream. Access to portable oxygen is also important during a fire emergency or exposure to wildfire smoke, as it can help with healthy respiratory support while avoiding potentially harmful smoke inhalation. Boost Oxygen pure oxygen canisters, and specifically their Extra-Large Rapid Response pure oxygen canister, make a smart addition to any home or business emergency preparedness first aid kit.

In addition, Boost Oxygen was also featured as a must-have in the “Disaster Prepping For Dummies” book, available at bookstores and select retailers nationwide. From the book: “(During a fire) From your bedroom, try holding your breath and getting out of your home as fast as you can. Now assume it will be at night with no electrical power, with your vision completely obscured by smoke. These Boost Oxygen canisters can provide you with precious minutes needed to escape.”

Boost Oxygen also appeared on the ABC hit show “Shark Tank” in 2019 and agreed to a deal with Kevin O’Leary. In recent years, Boost Oxygen has seen dramatic domestic and global growth. Boost Oxygen is available at 25,000 major retailers nationwide like Walmart, CVS and Walgreens (as well as on Amazon), and in over 50+ countries worldwide.

Did you happen to catch Boost Oxygen on Thursday Night Football last night? During the Seattle Seahawks' matchup against the Denver Broncos on Amazon Prime Video, our portable oxygen canisters were spotted being used by Seahawks players on the sidelines!

The game took place at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado, which sits approximately 5,280 feet above sea level. At that elevation, the lower atmospheric pressure means there's less oxygen available to the body with each breath. For visiting teams that aren't accustomed to playing at altitude, this can make an already physically demanding game even more challenging.

Do you see anything interesting about this particular shot from the broadcast? If you look closely, you'll notice a traditional oxygen tank setup sitting right alongside the players. Despite having access to that equipment, Seahawks players can be seen using Boost Oxygen's lightweight, portable canisters.

Rather than relying on bulky equipment, our canisters make supplemental oxygen convenient and accessible, whether you're on the sidelines, hiking in the mountains, or simply adjusting to a higher elevation. It's always exciting to see professional athletes incorporating Boost Oxygen into their game-day routines, especially in an environment where altitude presents an additional challenge.

Thank you to the Seattle Seahawks for bringing Boost Oxygen along for Thursday Night Football!

As we enter cough and cold season, seasonal illnesses become easier to spread. Along with familiar symptoms like coughing and congestion, certain respiratory illnesses can also make it harder for your body to get the oxygen it needs.

This can contribute to temporary Oxygen Insufficiency, which occurs when the body isn't receiving enough oxygen to meet its needs. Symptoms can include fatigue, headaches, shortness of breath, and even difficulty concentrating.

While the air we normally breathe contains approximately 21% oxygen, Boost Oxygen delivers nearly FIVE TIMES that oxygen concentration in lightweight, portable canisters. Our BREATHE Menthol Eucalyptus canisters also feature a refreshing, all-natural aroma for a more soothing experience. Menthol and eucalyptus have long been used in familiar cough and cold products, from v***r rubs to cough drops, thanks to their refreshing aromas and cooling sensations. In fact, research has shown that menthol can create the sensation of improved nasal airflow, helping breathing feel more comfortable for many people.

Boost Oxygen BREATHE Menthol Eucalyptus is a convenient way to enjoy a refreshing breath of supplemental oxygen as part of your everyday wellness routine throughout the colder months.

What makes our OxyBurst Hydration Mix different from the other electrolyte packets on the shelf? Boost Oxygen Founder Rob Neuner is coming to you from 11,000 feet above sea level to show you!

Unlike many traditional hydration mixes that use table salt as their primary sodium source, OxyBurst uses sodium bicarbonate to provide electrolytes without the same salty taste. Our formula also includes a combination of vitamins, minerals, and functional ingredients like iron, beetroot, ashwagandha, rhodiola rosea, and grape seed extract, selected to support hydration and active lifestyles. Whether you're exercising, traveling to higher elevations, or looking to replenish electrolytes after a busy day, OxyBurst offers a refreshing addition to your routine.

Think about those long days spent working in the yard, a challenging workout at the gym, a hike through the mountains, or a busy travel day when staying hydrated isn't always top of mind. Physical activity, extreme weather, or time spent at higher elevations can all increase the importance of proper hydration, oxygenation, and electrolyte replenishment. OxyBurst makes it easy to add electrolytes and functional ingredients to your water, whether you're preparing for an active day or rehydrating afterward.

In this video, Rob walks through the ingredients, explains the thinking behind our formula, and demonstrates exactly where the word “burst” comes from.

“…there’s trees though!”

In this behind-the-scenes clip from his Netflix series, Simon Cowell: The Next Act, Simon reaches for some Boost Oxygen while filming at altitude.

Best known for his time on American Idol, The X Factor, and America's Got Talent, Simon Cowell has spent decades discovering some of the biggest names in entertainment. But even someone who's spent years in the spotlight needs a moment to recharge.

While the air around us contains approximately 21% oxygen, Boost Oxygen delivers nearly FIVE TIMES that concentration in each inhalation. At higher elevations, where less oxygen is available with each breath, that extra concentration can be especially useful.

Over the years, we've spotted Boost Oxygen with some pretty familiar faces in entertainment, including Shakira, Lionel Richie, and Simon himself on multiple occasions. Whether they're performing onstage, filming their next project, or searching for the next big star, it's always exciting to see Boost make an appearance!

Thanks again to Simon Cowell for sharing this fun moment! Check out Simon Cowell: The Next Act on Netflix to follow his search for the next big boy band.

Since 2007, Boost Oxygen has grown from a simple idea into a brand found in more than 25,000 retail locations nationwide and over 50 countries around the world!

But how did we get here?

Our story began when Boost Oxygen Founder Rob Neuner discovered portable supplemental oxygen while traveling in the Czech Republic. Recognizing an opportunity to introduce the product to a much wider audience back home, Rob founded Boost Oxygen in 2007 and began building the foundation for what the company would eventually become.

Nearly two decades later, we've reached some pretty incredible milestones. From bringing our manufacturing operations in-house and securing a $1 million deal with Kevin O'Leary on Shark Tank, to expanding our retail presence nationwide, supporting charitable organizations, and introducing new products like OxyBurst Hydration Mix, there's been a lot happening along the way!

We wanted to take a moment to share some of the history behind Boost Oxygen, the people who helped build it, and the milestones that have shaped our company over the years.

Take a look through these photos to learn more about our story, and thank you to everyone who has been a part of it for the last 19 years. 💚

Seven years ago, Boost Oxygen Founder Rob Neuner and COO Mike Grice stepped into the Shark Tank and introduced millions of viewers to something many had never seen before: supplemental oxygen in a portable canister.

It became one of the biggest moments in Boost Oxygen history, helping introduce our brand and supplemental oxygen to people across the globe. What makes it even more special is that we STILL hear from new customers who tell us, “I first saw you on Shark Tank!” all these years later.

A lot has changed since that episode first aired. Today, Boost Oxygen can be found in more than 20,000 retail locations nationwide, and our products have made their way into the hands of our loyal customers around the world. But for so many people, their first introduction to Boost started right here.
