It was nice seeing so many familiar faces at Milford Pumpkin Festival this weekend, however the most common conversation I had was “We Have Insurance, So We Can’t Join…” — Actually, You Can!

If your family is enrolled in a health insurance plan, now is a great time to take a fresh look at your plan — especially if you’re considering making room for Root to Leaf Pediatrics DPC.

During open enrollment, consider looking at plans with lower monthly premiums and higher deductibles, if that fits your family’s needs. You may find that pairing your insurance with DPC makes sense for your family while still maintaining coverage for unexpected illness, specialists, hospital care, and other services outside the DPC practice.

In addition, check with your insurance carrier regarding a "HSA"- Health Savings Account, as this can often be used to cover memberships for individuals and families.

Back to school season means back to sharing germs. We are seeing an increase in respiratory infections already. At Root to Leaf Pediatrics, our families have the benefit of calling the office, having the nurse practitioner personally answer the call, triage the symptoms, provide advice and/or schedule a sick visit if needed within the same or next day. No call centers, no triage calls back and forth, no being sent to alternate offices/urgent care due to lack of availability.
