A patient asks whether a tongue-tie release could help. How do you decide?

That’s the kind of question we built this course around.

Over two days, we walk through the decisions you’ll need to make before, during, and after a frenectomy. Who is a good candidate? How do you plan their care? What do you do when healing doesn’t go as expected?

Tongue-tie isn’t only a baby topic. Some adults have spent years compensating with jaw tension, neck tightness, clenching, or tired speech, and never connected it to how their tongue moves.

An assessment can help sort out what’s related and what isn’t. When a release is indicated, we pair it with therapy and follow-up so the change actually sticks.

Ever wondered what those nose strips and small nasal inserts actually do?

Nasal dilators help hold the nasal opening wider. Some sit inside the nostrils, while others provide support from the outside.

They can make nasal breathing easier for some people. If breathing through your nose is regularly difficult, it’s also worth finding out why.

“Laser or scalpel?” is one of the most common questions we get from parents and dentists alike.

In this randomized, double-blind trial, both techniques improved feeding and tongue movement. Scalpel releases had better breastfeeding scores at one week. In the laser group, more energy was linked to slower healing.

Our read: there isn’t one “best” tool. The tool matters. So do technique, settings, and aftercare.
