They became aware of the actual science. Again, these manipulative tactics the to***co industry created are still revered and used by many corporate entities, sometimes those you might not realize, including the meat industry. You might be saying to yourself, “I love my hamburgers, chicken wings, and bacon. What’s to manipulate?” Well...I’d say the manipulation is working. There are various health and environmental reasons to not eat meat, none of which are all that new to researchers...'"

What about if that someone is an authority figure - a teacher, a minister, a parent - that's when the feelings of pain and being disrespected cut a little deeper. So what about when you find out that researchers, people of science, put the interests of their employers and/or investors before the truth, knowing that their reported results can certainly impact the general public?"
