Today's handwashing hero is Dr. Mary Putnam Jacobi. 🧼🏆

In 1871, she became the first woman to graduate from the prestigious Paris School of Medicine. Beyond her historic research, she fiercely believed that a healthy society started with everyday habits at home and in the classroom. She fought to improve basic hygiene standards in public schools, proving that clean air, proper sanitation, and routine handwashing were essential to protecting children from deadly diseases.

She dedicated her life to expanding science education, founding the Association for the Advancement of the Medical Education of Women. She knew that teaching the next generation proper, evidence-based health habits was the absolute foundation of public safety.

Dr. Mary Putnam Jacobi believed in using hands-on, rigorous evidence to teach science. The Glo Germ Glo Box Classroom Kit provides absolutely everything a teacher needs to lead an entire room of students in an unforgettable hygiene lesson. This kit transforms an abstract concept into an interactive, visual experiment where students can test their own handwashing skills, analyze the data under UV light, and see the undeniable proof for themselves!

Dr. Mary Putnam Jacobi was a passionate medical pioneer who strongly advocated for sanitation and health reform in domestic and school environments.

Today's handwashing hero is Dr. Rebecca Cole. 🧼🏆

In 1867, mainstream medical experts blamed the high disease rates in poor communities on "cultural ignorance," Dr. Cole knew the truth. Overcrowded housing and a total lack of sanitation resources were the real culprits.

Working as a pioneering "sanitary visitor," she went door-to-door directly into tenement neighborhoods. She met families right where they were, fiercely advocating for public health reform while personally teaching thousands of people the life-saving science of proper hygiene and family sanitation.

We look back and admire her grassroots genius, but teaching the invisible science of germs can be incredibly difficult without the right tools. Just like Dr. Rebecca Cole packed up her medical knowledge to bring health education directly to the people, the Glo Germ Glo Box Kit provides absolutely everything you need to teach effective handwashing education in one convenient package.

The kit comes fully loaded with Glo Germ Gel, Glo Germ Powder, a UV flashlight, and a collapsible dark viewing box that blocks out room glare. It gives teachers, nurses, and public health advocates a complete, portable option to instantly demonstrate proper hygiene techniques anywhere, from classrooms to community centers!

Dr. Cole was a true trailblazer who completely reshaped how we think about medicine and community health.
