Smoke alarms and fire alert systems are available with features like low-frequency sound, flashing or strobe lights, and bed shakers to help make sure an emergency alert doesn’t go unnoticed.

Take some time this week to make sure your home’s fire safety plan works for everyone in your household. You can also check with your local fire department to see if they’re hosting an open house or community event for Fire Prevention Week. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, learn about local resources and brush up on fire safety.

Don't forget to check your hearing aid benefits.
If you or a loved one may need hearing aids, now is a great time to make sure your new insurance plan provides a hearing aid benefit and that your preferred hearing care provider is in network.

Before you choose your new insurance plan, ask:
-Does this plan include hearing aid benefits?
-How much does it cover?
-How often can hearing aids be replaced?
-Is my hearing care provider in network?
