πΎπ©· MEET BONNIE: OUR SPOTLIGHT PET OF THE MONTH! π©·πΎ
And trust usβ¦ we picked her for ALL the right reasons. π₯Ήβ€οΈ
Yesterday, we were blessed to spend the morning with this sweet soul at Will County Humane Society, and we are absolutely smitten!
We showed up with treats, a brand-new blanket, and a plushie toy. And BOY, was Bonnie happy! ππ Mostly about the snacks, if we're being honestβ¦ but girl, WE GET IT. Snacks are our love language, too! π¦΄π€£
But beyond the treats, we got to see what makes Bonnie so incredibly special. She gave us kisses, asked for belly rubs, showed off a couple of tricks, and even appeared to be house-trained! She's smart, affectionate, playful, and full of personality. We couldn't stop smiling around her. π₯°
But there's something about Bonnie's story that breaks our heartsβ¦
Bonnie came all the way from Kentucky. When she arrived at Will County Humane Society, no one knew she was about to become a mama. She went on to give birth to SEVEN puppies right there at the shelter. πΆπΆπΆ
Those puppies are now OVER A YEAR OLDβ¦ and Bonnie is STILL waiting for her family. π
Let that sink in for a moment.
Bonnie has spent far too long waiting for someone to see her, choose her, and give her the life she deserves. She has so much love to give, and we are determined to help her find the people who will give that love right back.
πΈ LET'S TALK ABOUT BONNIE! πΈ
π©· Age: 3 years old
πΎ Breed: Mixed breed
πΎ Personality: Playful, silly, energetic, affectionate, and absolutely beautiful!
π Her favorite things: Hugs, belly rubs, spending time with her people, and keeping life fun!
π§ She's one smart cookie! Bonnie is incredibly intelligent and agile. She would thrive with a family who will keep her active, engaged, and mentally stimulated.
π‘ Her ideal home: Bonnie would do best in a cat-free home with older children and an adopter who has experience managing potential guarding behaviors. She loves her people so much that she may feel the need to protect them. She appears to enjoy other dogs at the shelter but can be selective about her canine friends, so proper introductions are important.
Bonnie isn't just looking for a home. She's looking for HER PEOPLE. The ones who will laugh at her silly antics, rub her belly when she asks, keep her busy, and remind her every single day that she's finally home. β€οΈ
