Does your cycle change how you feel?

Maybe you notice more anxiety, irritability, tears, brain fog, or overwhelm at certain times each month. Maybe those changes affect your relationships, work, or ability to follow through on your plans.

✨ STRATEGIZE: Explore daily foundations and treatment options, including benefits, tradeoffs, and questions to discuss with your clinician.
✨ EMPOWER: Prepare for difficult days, communicate your needs, and feel more prepared for care conversations.

You’ll get self-paced education plus five downloadable resources to help turn what you learn into practical next steps.

PMS, PMDD, or PME symptoms? There may be more to assess than your hormone levels.

When mood changes come with fatigue, brain fog, or changes in your cycle, an individualized assessment can help clarify the picture. 🌸

Depending on your symptoms and history, tests to discuss with your clinician may include:
• Thyroid function • Blood count and iron stores • Selected nutrients, such as B12 when there’s a reason to suspect deficiency • Reproductive hormones, when there’s a specific question about irregular cycles, ovulation, or another endocrine concern

You don’t need every test—and more testing isn’t automatically better. Each test should answer a question that could change your care.

Here’s the key: Labs cannot diagnose PMDD. Daily symptom tracking and a clinical assessment help identify the pattern. Normal lab results do not make your symptoms less real.

Start with your P*P to discuss appropriate testing. If that route isn’t available, we offer a cash-pay lab option through our Fullscript LabShop.

Comment LABS and I’ll send you the details to access our cash-pay lab option.

Him: “What is PMDD actually like?”

Me: “Imagine PMS… but your brain has decided EVERYONE is the enemy.” 😂💀

One minute you're a loving wife, patient mom, and functioning member of society.

The next minute you're overwhelmed, overstimulated, anxious, crying, and wondering why EVERYONE insists on breathing so loudly. 😤

And the worst part?

**You KNOW you're overreacting, but the emotions feel completely uncontrollable.**

For women with PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder), this isn't just being a little moody before their period.

We're talking about severe, cyclical changes in mood and emotional regulation that can disrupt relationships, work, and everyday life.

🧠 **Here's what makes PMDD so fascinating:**

It's not necessarily that your hormones are abnormal.

It's that your BRAIN may be unusually sensitive to the normal fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone throughout your cycle.

And understanding that distinction can completely change how we approach treatment!

💗 **This month inside my Handle Your Health™ membership, we've been diving DEEP into PMDD!**

We're covering:
✨ What's actually happening in your brain
✨ The connection between progesterone, allopregnanolone, GABA, and mood
✨ Why symptoms often worsen during the luteal phase
✨ Evidence-based treatment options, including lifestyle, medication, and hormone-related approaches
✨ How to recognize patterns and advocate for appropriate care

Because **you deserve to feel emotionally stable and like YOURSELF throughout your entire cycle.**

👇 **Comment MEMBERSHIP** and I'll send you the details on joining us and accessing our PMDD education!

And tell me… have you ever felt like a completely different person the week before your period? 😂

“It’s just your hormones” shouldn’t be the end of the conversation.

If changes in your mood, energy, or concentration are affecting your relationships, work, or daily life, you deserve space to explain what’s happening—and help figuring out the next step. 🌸

Whether you’re navigating PMS, PMDD, or PME, start with what you notice, how it affects you, and what you need.

At home, that might sound like: “I’m feeling overwhelmed. Could you handle dinner tonight?”

When setting a boundary: “This conversation matters to me. I need a short break, and I’ll come back at 7.”

At an appointment: “I’ve noticed a repeating pattern around my cycle. Here’s my tracking, and here’s how it’s affecting my ability to function. What should we assess next?”

Bring your symptom record, medication and supplement list, and your top two questions. Tell your clinician what improvement would mean to you—not only fewer symptoms, but being able to participate more fully in your life.

You don’t need perfect words or all the answers to ask for support.

Inside the Handle Your Health membership, our PMDD Deep Dive helps you Identify → Strategize → Empower, including practical ways to communicate your needs and prepare for care conversations.

When you've been holding it together ALL month, but your luteal phase finally says, “We're DONE being nice.” 😂💀

Suddenly…

🙄 Your husband's breathing is a personal attack.

😤 Someone chewing too loudly might actually send you over the edge.

😭 You're crying because nobody appreciates you.

🤬 And the tiniest inconvenience makes you want to LOSE YOUR MIND.

Then your period starts, and suddenly you're yourself again.

**LADIES, THIS IS NOT JUST YOU BEING MOODY.**

For some women, the hormonal fluctuations that happen after ovulation can trigger significant changes in mood, anxiety, irritability, and emotional regulation.

And for women with **PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder)**, these symptoms can be severe enough to affect relationships, work, and everyday life.

Here's something most women don't realize:

**PMDD isn't necessarily caused by abnormal hormone levels. It's often related to how your brain responds to NORMAL hormonal fluctuations.**

And that's a HUGE distinction when it comes to finding effective treatment!

💗 **We've been talking ALL about PMDD this month inside my Handle Your Hormones™ membership!**

We're diving into WHY these symptoms happen, the connection between hormones and brain chemistry, and the treatment strategies that can actually make a difference.

Because you deserve to feel like YOURSELF all month long, not just two weeks out of every four.

👇 **Comment MEMBERSHIP** and I'll send you the details on joining us!

And seriously… does anyone else feel like they need to apologize to their entire household once their period starts? 😂

The hardest day is a hard time to build a plan.

If your symptoms intensify around your cycle, deciding what to eat, what needs your attention, or how to ask for help can feel overwhelming.

Whether you’re navigating PMS, PMDD, or PME, consider preparing your difficult-days plan during a steadier moment. 🌸

Start with these questions:
• What are my earliest warning signs? • Which two easy meals can I keep available? • What can I simplify, share, or postpone? • Which coping tool feels accessible? • Who can I ask for specific help? • How will I reach my care team if I need more support?

Make your requests concrete: “Could you handle dinner tonight?” is easier to act on than “I need more help.”

Your plan doesn’t need to be elaborate. Save it in your phone, share the relevant parts with someone you trust, and adjust it as you learn what helps.

You deserve support that fits your capacity—even on the difficult days.

Inside the Handle Your Health membership, we’re working through our PMDD Deep Dive: Identify → Strategize → Empower, including how to create your personal difficult-days plan.

POV: You're in your luteal phase and suddenly your entire life needs to be reevaluated. 😂💀

Your husband? Annoying.
Your kids? SO LOUD.
Your jeans? Suddenly don't fit.
Your patience? Nonexistent.
Your motivation? Gone.
Your cravings? UNHINGED.

And the worst part? You KNOW your period is coming, but you still feel like you're losing your mind.

Ladies, can we talk about the fact that some of us spend **HALF of every month** feeling like a completely different person?!

Here's what's actually happening. 👇

After ovulation, progesterone rises, estrogen fluctuates, and both hormones drop before your period.

For some women, these normal hormonal shifts trigger MAJOR changes in mood, sleep, appetite, and energy.

And during perimenopause? These fluctuations can become even more unpredictable.

But here's what I really want you to know:

**Your luteal phase shouldn't feel like a monthly hostage situation.** 😂

Severe mood swings, anxiety, depression, and irritability aren't something you should just accept as part of being a woman.

There are ways to support your body, identify contributing factors, and improve how you feel throughout your cycle.

And NO, the answer isn't always birth control or antidepressants. Although those can absolutely be helpful options for some women!

💗 **Comment HORMONES** and I'll send you information about my Handle Your Hormones™ program, where we work on understanding your hormones and building a plan to help you feel like YOU again.

Now tell me… **Are you a crying luteal-phase girl or a don't-even-look-at-me luteal-phase girl?** 😂
