Meet Amber Fox, RN Case Manager!

This month, we're excited to shine the spotlight on Amber, who has been part of our Benchmark Hospice family for a little over two years!

When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Amber's answer says it all:
“Loving on people and helping them through one of the toughest things in life. I love what I do. I could not imagine doing anything else and there is no better job in the world.” 💙

That passion is something her teammates see in her every day.

Kelly Badger describes Amber as a nurse who wears her heart on her sleeve, genuinely cares about her patients, and isn't afraid to advocate for their needs and wishes. Kendra Stewart shares that Amber is a wonderful team player who keeps everyone informed and brings a great sense of humor to the team!

And speaking of humor... when she's not caring for patients, Amber loves spending time with her husband and their 11-month-old. Her drink of choice? A margarita with Tabasco—NOT jalapeños! 🌶️😂

October is National Physical Therapy Month!

Every step forward matters, and sometimes those steps begin right at home. 👣

At Benchmark Home Health, our physical therapists do so much more than guide exercises. They help patients rebuild strength, improve balance and mobility, regain confidence, and work toward greater independence in their everyday lives.

For some patients, progress means walking safely across the living room. For others, it's getting up from their favorite chair, navigating the steps outside their home, or simply feeling more confident moving around.

And behind those milestones are dedicated physical therapists who encourage, educate, celebrate progress, and help patients keep moving forward.

This month, we're taking a moment to recognize and thank our incredible Benchmark Physical Therapy team for the patience, compassion, and dedication they bring to every visit.

Medicare Open Enrollment begins Thursday, October 15, and runs through December 7, 2026.

This is an important time for individuals and families to review their Medicare coverage and make sure their current plan continues to meet their healthcare needs for the coming year.

Even if you're happy with your current coverage, it's a good idea to take a closer look. Plans can change from year to year!

Our Benchmark Hospice Pumpkin Decorating Contest has officially wrapped up, and what a fun competition it was!

Our Hospice staff came together in teams, put their creativity to work, and decorated some amazing pumpkins. After a little friendly competition, votes from our community, and decisions from our panel of judges, we're excited to announce our three winners!

Planning ahead starts with knowing your options.

We’re getting closer to the Navigating Medicare & Senior Resource Fair, and Benchmark Home Health & Hospice is looking forward to being part of the evening session on October 8!

Medicare is an important piece of the conversation, but planning for the future can involve so much more. This event brings together local professionals and resources to help older adults and families learn more about topics including Medicare options, financial planning, pre-planning, home care, hospice, downsizing, and relocation.

During the afternoon & evening sessions, Benchmark Home Health & Hospice will be there to share information, answer questions, and help families better understand the care and support that may be available when needs begin to change.
