Nuborn Kare Retired RN of 30 yrs, devoting 23 yrs NICU. My team of NICU RN's & Mother/Baby postpartum RN are here to guide/support you through all things baby.

Feedings, routines, baby 101, reflux, fragile feeders. Day/night care, 24/7 support NICU grads & newborns. Driven by purpose, I created my corporation, NuBorn Kare, after seeing how many parents struggled during the transition from hospital to home and knowing there had to be a better way. I am a retired RN with 30 years of experience, having cared for some of the tiniest and most vulnerable babies—including those weighing as little as 460 grams. My background includes 5 years in adult ICU, 2 years in a multidisciplinary specialist clinic, and 23 years in a Level 3 NICU. Alongside this, I spent 5 years in pediatric home health caring for critical-care infants. Through NuBorn Kare, I educate and support every aspect of newborn and infant care—NICU graduates and healthy newborns alike. This includes Baby 101, sleep–wake routines, feeding techniques, weight gain, time management, reflux and gassy babies, fragile feeders, development, and proper positioning. My approach is calm, supportive, and non-judgmental, just as it has been throughout my professional career. NuBorn Kare allows me to offer families my veteran clinical knowledge, personalized guidance, and the reassurance that they are giving their baby the safest and healthiest start. I provide in-home visits (local), televists, and phone consultations. I also offer daytime and nighttime infant care, and once you are my client, you receive 24/7 access to me for ongoing support. I proudly work alongside a team of experienced NICU RNs and a high-acuity mother/baby (postpartum) RN. Outside of my profession, I am an Australian mother of three, grandmother of five, and have been happily married to my English husband, Simon, for 38 years.

💕 Did you know? Newborns communicate long before they can talk!

Those tiny stretches, little sounds, and even the way your baby turns their head can tell you a lot about what they need.

Learning your baby’s cues takes time, and that’s okay! Every day brings new opportunities to understand your little one a little better. 💗

At NuBorn Kare, we’re here to help you feel more confident and supported throughout your parenting journey.

💕 Every Newborn Is Different, and That’s Okay!

Some babies sleep more, some want to be held constantly, and others seem to have their days and nights completely mixed up! 👶

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to caring for a newborn. Every baby has their own needs, personality, and pace of development.

At NuBorn Kare, we believe parents deserve guidance, reassurance, and support as they navigate those precious first weeks at home.

Because caring for a newborn isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about learning together, one day at a time. 💗

Is your newborn tired or overtired? 💤

Newborns can’t tell us when they’re ready for a nap, but they do give us little clues!

Watch for:
💙 Looking away or avoiding eye contact
💙 Becoming quieter or less active
💙 Yawning or rubbing their eyes
💙 Fussiness that seems to come out of nowhere

Catching those early sleepy cues can make settling your baby a little easier.

Remember, newborns need plenty of sleep, and every baby’s routine looks a little different.

At NuBorn Kare, we’re here to help families feel confident navigating those precious first weeks at home. 💕

🍼 Crying is actually a late sign of hunger!

Did you know your newborn starts communicating that they’re hungry long before the tears begin?

Here are a few early hunger cues to watch for:

💗 Turning their head and searching for the breast or bottle (rooting)

💗 Bringing their hands toward their mouth

💗 Opening their mouth or making sucking motions

💗 Becoming more alert and restless

Recognizing these little signals can make feeding time calmer and more comfortable for both you and your baby.

Every baby communicates differently, and learning their cues takes time. 💕

At NuBorn Kare, we’re here to help you navigate those early days with confidence.

Newborn sleep can feel like a mystery. 🤍

In those first few weeks, frequent wake-ups, short stretches of sleep, and days and nights being completely mixed up can all be normal.

Your baby is adjusting to a whole new world, and you’re learning right alongside them.

Give yourself grace, follow your baby’s cues, and remember: you don’t have to have it all figured out overnight. 💕

As NICU Awareness Month comes to a close, our support for NICU families doesn’t. 💜

Every NICU journey is different. Some stays are short, others last weeks or months, and bringing baby home can begin an entirely new chapter of questions, adjustments, and milestones.

To every NICU parent: celebrate how far you and your little one have come. The small victories matter. The big milestones matter. And having support along the way matters, too.

Here’s to the tiny fighters, the families who love them, and the incredible NICU teams who care for them every day. 💜

NICU parents need care, too. 💜

When so much of your attention is focused on your baby, it can be easy to forget that you’re recovering, adjusting, learning, and processing everything right alongside them.

You’re allowed to ask questions.
You’re allowed to accept help.
You’re allowed to rest.
And you’re allowed to need support, even after your baby comes home.

Caring for yourself is part of caring for your little one, too. 💜

Bringing your baby home from the NICU is a moment you’ve waited for, but it can also feel overwhelming. 💜

After days or weeks surrounded by monitors, nurses, routines, and constant support, suddenly being home can feel very different.

Give yourself time to adjust. Ask questions. Accept help. And remember, you don’t have to have everything figured out the second you walk through the door.

Support doesn’t have to end when the NICU stay does.
