EVALANCHE (noun)

The sudden, catastrophic arrival of new patient evaluations precisely when you thought you might have a normal day.

9:00 AM: “Nice. Three cancellations. I can finally catch up on notes.”

10:30 AM: “GREAT NEWS! WE FILLED YOUR SCHEDULE!”

Sir, that’s not great news.

A sudden and complete loss of memory regarding what happened during a treatment session, usually occurring the moment you open the note six hours later.

9:00 AM: Brilliant clinician. 🧠
5:17 PM: Who was this patient? What did we do? What year is it?

You remember their dog's name.
You remember their vacation plans.
You remember they hate the Yankees.

But what exercises did you do?

Gone. Reduced to atoms.
