My website got a little polish (check it out at fargolactation dot com) and to celebrate I thought I would do a quick intro post as it has been a while!

My name is Jaci, (pronounced Jay-cee,) and I'm a lactation consultant from Moorhead Minnesota.

I am married and we are raising three kids who are all double digits now, but were all breastfed as babies well into toddlerhood. We also have two rescue dogs that allow us to live with them.

I began my breastfeeding support journey as a La Leche League leader back in 2010 and when I was trying to figure out what to do once all of my babies were in school, getting my IBCLC seemed like the obvious solution.

I did that and opened my practice in 2021 and have been working at that ever since. I also hold a fun part-time job at a local comic book and game store, and you can find me there a few times a week.

In my spare time I enjoy fishing (I am a member of Women Anglers of Minnesota ), reading, staring at my phone far too much, putting together jigsaw puzzles, playing board games, and spending as much time as I can at my family's lake spot.

I enjoy getting to know those who follow me so please feel free to introduce yourself below 💙💙💙

Happy World Breastfeeding Week & National Breastfeeding Month 💙💙💙

Josh Boschee has proclaimed August 2026 as National Breastfeeding Month, with World Breastfeeding Week recognized August 1-7, in The City of Fargo.

Supporting families is a priority for Fargo, including access to environments that promote healthy lifestyles and informed infant feeding choices. Breastfeeding is a proven public health strategy that supports lifelong health and development for both infants and mothers — lowering rates of childhood obesity, diabetes and infections, and reducing maternal risk of certain cancers, type 2 diabetes and hypertension.

Families are more likely to reach their breastfeeding goals when supported by healthcare providers, employers and community systems that embrace lactation-friendly environments. A breastfeeding-friendly community welcomes families of all races and structures and works to remove barriers through education, policy and cultural support.
