Just like everything else, as we age, the lips lose volume. Lines can start to form above the top lip due to collagen and elastin loss (even if you don’t use straws or smoke).

Depending on what the area looks like above the lip (how many lines are formed, skin quality), sometimes we can use a soft filler to correct them. Other times I recommend getting CO2 laser on them to help resurface the skin if I feel filler is not the best treatment of choice for you to get the best result.

A great timeline of what your tox journey can look like. ⏳ Patience really is key with these treatments.

Imagine if I touched her up after only a week. She would have most likely experienced heaviness in her brows and eyelids. She stayed patient with me even though I know sometimes it can feel like forever.

Sometimes a touch up is needed at the two week mark, but it’s always so important to give your treatment the full two weeks to truly settle. This way we can see the real result.

Always give yourself enough time before events, vacations, & holidays so your tox looks its best! 💛
