Last Friday, Millie and Tahlmus represented V.E.T.S. during an AG Day event at the Eastland Elementary School in Shannon, IL. They got to teach kids from kindergarten through sixth grade about service dogs, their purpose, and the difference between being in the vest and out of the vest. Those in Pre-K got to pet the puppies and talk about their own pets at home.

Tahlmus, Vesta, and Millie helped give a presentation to the Freeport Lions Club last night about VETS. They had a little help from their humans.

Millie was perfect, staying close to Papa.
Vesta prominently displayed intelligent disobedience by following "Other Mother" around when technology decided to fail.
And Tahlmus was the perfect pup, as he got to spend time with his Aunty Kara Jacobs. He enjoyed it so much that he was disappointed when he had to leave.

We were told, because of Stella's condition when we rescued her, that there was no way she could be pregnant. Ten years ago today, we determined that was FALSE when we walked in and saw Stella nursing six puppies.

Happy Birthday, Tahlmus and Anara, and to their siblings!

This past Saturday was Trivia night at the Davis Community Center. It was a lot of spooky fun. Tahlmus made a new friend, and Psyduck tried to steal all the sweets. It must have helped, because the team placed 3rd!

Quote of the Night: "I may not know trivia, but I know how to hold a donut on a string"

Meet Echo, our newest recruit. She had a rough start, but Echo loves her human, enjoys playing with her older brother Tucker, and is super smart. She has already learned a lot and is well on her way to being a psychiatric service dog.
