Blend Juice Bar is Charleston’s latest all organic, all natural, all local juice, smoothie, and salad bar. Offering fast, personalized service, knowledgeable staff, and advanced juicing techniques. First conceived 6 years ago after our founder, Jesse Derbyshire, discovered the massive array of health benefits organic juices, smoothies, salads and all foods have over the torrent of processed foods that are more readily available. We have spent those years creating relationships with local farmers, food vendors, and like-minded people both in the Charleston area and all over the U.S. Our goal has always been to make a natural, healthy alternative to fast food that is quick, cheap, and above all tasty! We believe that we have achieved that goal and after trying us for yourself, we think that you will agree.

I called 30 local businesses in Charleston today and asked one question: “Can I send you business?”

Here’s what happened:

Five businesses didn’t pick up.
Four had an answering machine. One started, “You’ve called Chris,” talked for about eight seconds, and then mentioned that he owned a business. I thought that was interesting.
Two calls were answered by people who didn’t speak English.
Three businesses had professional bots answer.
Five times, I got to talk with the owner.

One woman answered for her boyfriend and said she’d be in big trouble if she didn’t pick up. I joked, “Well, I don’t want anybody getting killed today.”

At the end of the day, I’m trying to help businesses get leads and bring people more work. Everybody’s talking about the economy being rough, and there are people who need work. So I guess the question is: Are you willing to do the work?
