Born at just 27 weeks, Riley spent more than his first year at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Bringing him home meant his parents, Barbara and Lyle, learned a new daily routine—including caring for his trach and ventilator.

Born weighing just 14.5 ounces, Harlow spent 355 days in the hospital before coming home to Fort Smith with her parents, Kaitlynn and Bailey.

Both parents are nurses, but caring for their own baby’s trach and ventilator was something new. Bringing Harlow home was a moment they had waited so long for—and it came with understandable fears.

Our team was honored to help them prepare, learn their equipment, and feel comfortable asking questions. That support continued once they were home.

We are so sorry that we have been so quiet lately!! We have had major things going on at Advanced Respiratory Supplies! We have been focused in taking care of our patients and making sure they have everything they need as well as moving to our new office space and getting all that setup! We also got to attend Arkansas State Respiratory conference, where we met lots of great vendors and new students! Not only all that but we have some more exciting news!! 🥁🥁Ladies and gentlemen…..we started a blog….I will be making 2 other posts with our first 2 blogs on them with our precious patients, for this post I’ll post some pictures of our conference!

Happy birthday to the one that makes our work possible. Without our fearless leader, none of what we do would be possible. She is absolutely the most amazing person ever. Caring for a medically complex toddler is difficult in its own right but there are some really special people that help make things easier for our family when it comes to taking care of Riley. Advanced Respiratory Supplies goes above and beyond to help families like ours feel supported and cared for. It definitely is a joy to actually know the people behind the company and to know they love our boy too. Thank you all for what you do!
