A very special offering from the California coast… ❤️🌊

These large, beautiful red abalone shells were harvested in Fort Bragg in the 1990s, back when recreational abalone diving was still permitted. Diving has been banned until 2036!!

Today, these are truly pieces of coastal history.

🌿 A beautiful way to use your abalone shell

Abalone shells are traditionally used in some smudging practices as a vessel for burning herbs. The shell catches ash and embers while the smoke is gently wafted around a person or space.

For your own personal spiritual practice, the shell can be used as a beautiful smudging vessel for sage or other aromatic herbs, creating a meaningful ritual for:
