While it might look like winter in Telluride, Moab was serving up perfect fall riding conditions last week!

TASP teamed up with athletes and volunteer coaches from CAF Boise for a week of adaptive mountain biking, skill-building, and plenty of time on the trails. From warming up at Mud Springs to exploring more of Moab, it was a great way to wrap up our fall bike camps.

That’s a wrap on Summer and Fall programs! We’ll see you back out there in November when winter season kicks off.

TASP joined the students of Ridgway Elementary for a day of rock climbing in Ouray!

We loved helping Isla, who is visually impaired, climb alongside her classmates and be part of the adventure.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to get outside and make outdoor recreation more inclusive for students of all abilities.

A couple weeks ago, the TASP community came together to celebrate a true Telluride legend before Suss headed west to San Diego.

For years, you could find him cruising down Chair 9 most winter days, and we’re going to miss seeing him out there. We’re grateful for the countless ways Suss has shown up for TASP as an athlete, volunteer, instructor, former board president and longtime member of our community.

He lives in San Diego now surfing, but he’s still on our board and very much part of the TASP family. 💙

DID YOU KNOW?

Volunteering isn’t just good for the community. Research shows it can also help people feel more connected, supported, and part of something bigger.

We get that. At TASP, our volunteers are at the heart of what makes our programs possible. 💙

From helping out with on-snow lessons to lending a hand at events, there are lots of ways to get involved. And you don’t need to be an adaptive sports expert. TASP provides intensive training to get you ready to jump in.

Want to be part of the crew this winter?

Friday, November 20
4:30–5:30 PM

A little behind the scenes look at this year’s Bob Miller Memorial TASP Golf Classic.

It was a very rainy day, but somehow everyone still showed up, played golf, volunteered, hauled things around, dried things off, and kept the whole day moving.

This year was especially meaningful with Bob Miller’s wife and children joining us. We’re so grateful to have his family there as we continue to honor Bob and his legacy with TASP.

A huge thank you to our corporate sponsors who make this day possible: The Garret Companies, Telluride Ski & Golf, Communion W**e Bar, Emeritus, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Alpine Bank, ANB Bank, Turner Toyota, Honeyville, the village market and Telluride Gravel.

Every team, volunteer, sponsor, and donation helps us create more opportunities for people of all abilities to get outside and enjoy the outdoors.

TASP loves Blues & Brews!

A huge thank you to tellurideblues for hosting the Blisters & Brews 5K in honor of Felix Snow and TASP.

We loved seeing old friends back in town, and enjoying great music!

A few of our favorite moments from the weekend: TASP staff, original and current board members participating in the Bloaters and Brews, a group shot with Ajax in the background, and hanging with the one and only G. Love!

Thank you to everyone who came out to run, walk, cheer, volunteer, and support TASP. We’re lucky!

Three days. Four athletes. Three trail systems. One pretty rad partnership.

TASP and Tribal Adaptive Organization teamed up again for a 3-day, 4-Corners off-road handcycle camp, this time bringing the camp closer to Tribal Adaptive’s home base and onto lands that hold deeper cultural and community significance for the athletes.

After nearly three years of planning, this year’s camp took place just above Dolores, CO, with rides at Boggy Draw, Phil’s World and Aqueduct. TASP worked alongside land managers and local trail organizations to find routes that would challenge the athletes, build skills and actually work for handcycles.

And they delivered. Four Tribal Adaptive athletes put in the miles, tested their skills and got after some seriously fun trails.

Big thanks to the folks who helped make this camp happen: Colorado State Land Board, US Forest Service Dolores Ranger District, Mancos Trails Group, Southwest Colorado Cycling Association, High Desert Devo, and Canyon of the Ancients Visitors Center and Museum.

This is what happens when organizations bring their expertise, communities and stoke together.
