This time it was Chicago for an ultrasound course with some of the best trainers in the industry. We practiced ultrasound-guided filler techniques which means safer injections and better results for you 💉

When I interviewed for PA school almost 20 years ago, they asked what drew me to the profession. My answer was the constant learning. There’s always a new skill, a new technique, a better way to do things. Nineteen years later, that’s still true and I still love it.

That’s why I keep showing up to these conferences and workshops. Because my patients deserve someone who never stops improving not someone stuck using the same techniques and the same products from 20 years ago.

I’ve had somewhere between 12 and 15 syringes of filler in my face over the years. Can you tell?

Most people are shocked by that number, because when we think of filler, we picture the overfilled faces. But those are the exception, not the rule. They’re what bad filler work looks like.

Good filler? You don’t even notice it. The person just looks rested. Refreshed. A little lifted. You’d never point to it and say “she’s had filler”.

So please stop fixating on the number of syringes. That’s not what makes filler look fake. What’s important is whether it’s the right amount, in the right place, for your face.

If you keep filling your wrinkles, you might end up looking like a balloon.

When you fill a wrinkle just to smooth it, you’re distending the tissue. Basically overstretching it. Yes, the line disappears. But now you’re adding volume where your face doesn’t need it and you end up looking puffy and overfilled instead of refreshed.

Some lines simply shouldn’t be filled. Filler isn’t always the answer and more of it is almost never the answer.

So if your injector ever says “no more filler”, please listen.

People ask why I chose this path. The honest answer? I fell in love with it 💉

I started as a medical assistant for a dentist, then a dermatologist and what hooked me was the people. Sitting with someone, listening to what’s really bothering them and getting to be part of how they feel about themselves.

That connection is my favorite part of every single day.
That’s why I became a PA. And it’s why I chose aesthetics. I get to spend real time with my patients, understand their faces and their stories and help them feel like themselves again.

I still light up when someone leaves my chair feeling more confident than when they walked in.

I genuinely love what I do and I love the people I get to do it for ❤️
