I don’t know who needs to hear this, but your stool test cannot diagnose SIBO. Don’t be played for a fool!
SIBO = small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. A stool sample primarily reflects what’s happening in your colon, not a direct assessment of the microorganisms in your small intestine.
Yet somehow, the wellness pipeline often goes:
Order an at-home stool test—>Get a report full of colorful charts and scary-sounding findings
—> Be told you have SIBO, dysbiosis, or a gut that needs “healing”—> Spend hundreds of dollars on supplements to fix it
More testing doesn’t always mean more answers. And more supplements don’t always mean better care.
Your gut deserves evidence-based medicine, not an expensive guessing game. 🦠
