Hello all! This is just an update on Dr. DeWitt: He had a very successful surgery this afternoon. He will be out of the office next week, but his doctors are hopeful that he will be back to normal soon. We would like to sincerely thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes in this difficult time.

Medical update: I have had complications from the placement of the stent 2 weeks ago. I have been walking around short of breath and with chest pain and terrible fatigue. I’m having another procedure tomorrow in Indy as an effort to open the other vessel. I just pray that it is successful so I can get my energy back. I can’t walk 100 ft without getting winded. 2 weeks ago I rode 110 miles in 2 day.

Today I had the most distinct honor and privilege of hooding Dr Jordan Hawkins as she graduated medical school. Jordan worked with me several years ago as a medical assistant. Since then she has returned to the office several times. Each time, I was so amazed and proud of her professional growth and education. She has always been an astounding student. And now it is with great pride and honor to welcome her to the profession. Jordan is going to be a phenomenal physician! We wish her all the best as she starts residency at St Vincent Hospital in Evansville Indiana.
Congratulations Dr Hawkins.

Some of you know that my dad has been pretty sick over the last year or so.
Dad has been in the hospital for the last 2 weeks. The staff at IU BMH has taken phenomenal care of him however we have done all that we can.
Dad is going home today with hospice so he can be surrounded by family while he lives out his remaining days as comfortable and happy as he can be.
I am taking a leave from work for the next week or so to be with him and to help my mom.
If you have an urgent need, please call the office. We have made arrangements for coverage.
Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
