This is Audra, I’ve met with her for several tattoos now. She came to me with a word as a biblical design idea… “fruit”. She didn’t have anything more to give but trusted me to touchup her baptism date and help provide meaning through her personal artwork! There’s also a small coverup here near the wrist. When I spoke to her more about what was in my head and heart she agreed and loved the idea. It represented her story well.

Here is a sneak peak of a work in progress. I enjoy these types of pieces! This Japanese themed sleeve and chest piece started as a coverup on his left arm. It is hidden in the mountain. This mountain has cascading waterfalls and pours into a pool of water in the bottom half of the sleeve. There was pre-existing work and I had to work it into the design so that it flows with piece. Huge shoutout to Julio and his amazing girlfriend, Michelle, for stopping by Signature Rose Tattoo! Julio got an incredible family-inspired tattoo with his kids’ names and their birthdates, plus a falcon to honor the memories of watching these majestic birds together. The look on his face after it was done said it all – pure joy and a deeper connection to his kids every time he looks at it. It was such an honor to be a part of this meaningful moment. Thank you both for trusting me with such a special piece!

Jeremy Pettigrew, Director of Environmental Programs at the Delaware County Health Department, is leading a class for health board inspectors from across Indiana. He’s teaching them how to effectively inspect tattoo and body piercing studios, ensuring that both shop owners and artists maintain high standards for community health and safety. The training is split into two parts: classroom instruction at DCHD and hands-on experience at Signature Rose. Today’s first session was a huge success, with valuable information shared all around. A big thank you to Jeremy and the DCHD for partnering with me to keep Indiana communities safe!

When I met with Kristen for this large scale tattoo of Jesus and the Sea of Galilee, I was so excited to bring her idea to life!! How would I envision this in real life? How scary was the storm?! How big did my personal storms feel and what will we possibly face in the future? How scary would that have to be? This was a very fun piece to compose! It speaks to me on so many levels and after 5 sessions, it is finished!! Thank you Kristen for your time and for inviting the family along to support and enjoy this wonderful artwork being done together!

A huge thank you to Michelle for letting me capture this special moment with her beloved Tyson. This now healed tattoo honors Tyson, who was once facing the heartbreaking decision of being put down. Now, he lives on as a cherished memorial for a true family member. It’s a reminder of the deep, unconditional love we share with our fur babies. Grateful to Ryan and Michelle for allowing me to be part of this meaningful process.

This sleeve idea was born when a client came in for a consultation. This wonderful and easy going client asked me to design a sleeve including her love for books, nature, optometry and fairies. Clint Eastwood may be famous for playing tough guys like Walt Kowalski in Gran Torino, but in real life, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His service in the U.S. Army has been a cornerstone of his life, career and has always inspired his roles on screen. On this Veterans Day, we salute Clint and all those who have served! Thank you for your courage and sacrifice.

Love roses? I love completing floral imagery having grown up with a garden. I completed this stunning black and grey forearm tattoo! The intricate details to me take me to those days looking at the roses in my backyard! , The way the white ink pops against the dark shading adds a whole new dimension. It really brings the design to life! So thrilled with how it turned out —What are your favorite flowers?

Here is the remainder of the throwback tattoo from last week! A floral piece I started in Fresno California at the Fresno Tattoo Expo. It took 9 hours straight to complete the work. The large floral started on the hip, cascaded across her back and onto her opposite shoulder! Have a great week!
