❤️ A little business update from me ❤️
I’ve been doing some reflecting on how I’m running my business and, honestly, I need to make a few changes so I can continue doing what I love without completely burning myself out.
One of those changes is that going forward, all hair services—including services for friends and family—will be booked at my regular salon pricing.
I have always loved being able to take care of the people I love, and I’m so grateful for everyone who has trusted me with their hair over the years. But the reality is that every appointment costs me in products, supplies, time, and overhead. And as a mom of three young kids, there are also times when I’m paying for childcare so that I can be at work. When I spend that time doing a free or heavily discounted service, I’m not only giving away the service itself—I’m sometimes actually paying to be there while I’m not earning anything.
I’ve realized that I simply can’t continue operating that way and still have a sustainable business, a healthy balance, and the time and energy I need for my family.
This isn't about valuing anyone differently. It's about putting some boundaries around my work so I can keep doing it for years to come. I hope you know how much I appreciate the support, referrals, encouragement, and love you’ve all shown me and my little business.
I’m also going to be working on better boundaries around communication. I wear a lot of hats, I’m a mom, I work multiple jobs, and lately I’ve found myself feeling like I’m always working. I need to get better about separating work time from family time and giving myself some room to breathe.
The best way to book an appointment with me is through the salon—either by calling one of our lovely receptionists or booking online. You’re always welcome to message me, too! I’ll get back to you when I’m able, but I may not be able to respond right away, especially when I’m behind the chair or with my family.
If you’re having trouble finding an appointment, we also have a waitlist, and the salon team can help you with that as well.
I know a few of these changes may feel different, but they’re important ones for me. I’m trying to build a business that supports my family rather than one that leaves me constantly overwhelmed and stretched too thin.
Thank you for understanding, supporting me, and continuing to let me do what I love. I truly appreciate you more than you know. ❤️
