Three weeks ago, I lost my husband.
My last post was about reaching for longevity — more years, more time. But I'm learning it's not about the number of years. It's about what you do in the years.
His coffee cup wasn't in the sink. His shoes weren't under the bed. I had already grieved the loss of the marriage — but not the loss of the man altogether.
I'm a health practitioner. Nothing prepared me for this. Grief lives in the body. I teach that, but knowing it and living it are two different countries.
What surprises me most is how it catches you — not in the big moments, but the small ones. A song in the car. The grocery store. An ordinary Tuesday that suddenly isn't.
Ashwagandha and shatavari in the morning, trying to eat real food. The basics I give my clients — I'm taking them myself now. Not as advice, just survival.
Grief isn't a problem to solve. It's love with nowhere left to go.
No agenda here. I'm just getting through it — and reaching out to anyone else who is too. I see you. 🤍
