Can your kid get ready for a greenway ride in 60 seconds? 🚲 Start with the helmet, give the tires a check and make sure those brakes work. Then bring the whole crew to Cornelia Fort Airpark this Sunday.

Metro Nashville Parks & Recreation and Metro Nashville Park Police are hosting their first Bike with a Cop on October 25, from 1–3 p.m. at 1199 Shadow Lane. Bring your bikes for hands-on safety activities, a decorate-your-bike contest, food trucks, prizes and a free bike giveaway.

We love a Nashville afternoon that gets kids moving, helps families feel more confident on the greenway and might involve a gloriously decorated bicycle. Save this one for Sunday.

Playmakers Nashville is putting support behind that energy through mentorship, education, community and scholarships, including $15,000 awarded to five Middle Tennessee women pursuing careers in sports.
