My Epilepsy Story MES is bridging the gap for WOMEN and GIRLS living with epilepsy Nationally and Internationally.

My Epilepsy Story wants to give women and girls living with epilepsy and their families a platform to share how epilepsy has affected their lives. We want them to freely share their personal story without restricting them. By empowering women and girls to share their stories we can put a face to epilepsy and raise awareness to the importance of epilepsy research. Our stories will change the tide for the future of women and girls living with epilepsy as well as the children impacted my their mother's epilepsy. At My Epilepsy Story (MES) we are "Bridging the Gap" for women and girls living with Epilepsy in Every Corner of the World.

Before December 31, we are raising $50,000 for a national program: reaching families of children exposed to Valproate before birth so they can come forward and connect with resources, online support groups for females living with epilepsy, and provider education. Every gift moves this work forward.

In enjoying the beautiful water while looking ahead to what’s coming for

“In life, we are like a sailboat on the water… we can prepare for what’s ahead yet sometimes the unexpected happens and it’s what we do in those moments that will define the rest of the journey. Just as the waves in a lake move by transferring energy through the water we are too putting our energy into the things around us. In the midst of joy and painful times remember the shoreline is ahead. Yet, don’t focus too much on the shoreline that you don’t embrace to waves. Each wave will shape you into a better version of yourself”
