How do we ship your SimplyThick? Glad you asked!

SimplyThick ships most orders by Federal Express ground shipping. There is no additional charge for ground shipping.

Customers can request an alternative method if FedEx does not serve their location or there is another special circumstance. This request must be made by calling our customer service department at 800.205.7115.

Orders can be expedited for an additional charge.

Orders placed Monday through Friday BEFORE 2pm Central Time (except holidays) ship same day.

Orders placed Monday through Friday AFTER 2pm Central Time ship the following business day.

Orders ONLY ship on business days, which are Monday – Friday.

Orders cannot be shipped to PO Boxes due to FedEx regulations.

Sonal is a speech-language pathologist, clinical researcher, and dysphagia educator with more than 18 years of experience. She also hosts the Swallow Talk Series where John made a guest appearance earlier this year. Now it's John’s turn to ask the questions!

This puree was recently served in a long-term care facility. A member of our team photographed it.

IDDSI gives us shared standards for texture and testing, but texture is only part of the picture. Appearance matters too.

A poster presentation out of Rush University found that when pureed food was simply shaped (even into a basic square or rectangle instead of a scoop), people ate more than 500 more calories a day. For residents who are ill and need nutrition, that difference is significant.
Shaping doesn't require special skills. Cups, kitchen molds, and silicone food forms all work.

Bottom line: Visually appealing food helps people eat more.
