This morning’s Recovery Untamed walks were beautiful and full of surprises.

It continues to be such an honor and privilege to walk alongside these women—to watch them slow down, come back to their bodies, deepen their relationship with themselves and practice recovery outside the walls of the rooms.

And this morning brought a few extra gifts… surprise visits from women I’ve had the privilege of walking with before, and this beautiful little family quietly doing what they do.

There’s something pretty special about what happens when we slow down enough to notice what’s already happening around us.

The work of Recovery Untamed has always been rooted in relationship—with ourselves, with one another, and with the natural world.

This reflection from The Untamed Gathering Place is part of that story. 🤎

This morning I found myself walking the trails, slowing down, listening, and letting the forest help me settle into what’s ahead.

Tomorrow I’ll be joining Sarah, Joni, and Jamie at Mindful Health for a Self-Care Day created specifically for female first responders and the wives of first responders. ❤️

As I walked, I was reminded that even when we can’t do a full Forest Therapy walk outdoors, the essence of the practice can still come with us. The invitation is the same: slow down, notice what’s here, reconnect with your body, your breath, and the part of you that’s been carrying so much for so long.

Today is for grounding.
Tomorrow is for holding space.

Feeling grateful for this beautiful collaboration and looking forward to sharing a little of what the forest has taught me about rest, regulation, and coming home to ourselves.

Sharing this again because we still have a few spots available. ❤️

If you’re a female first responder or the wife of a first responder, this morning was created with you in mind. A chance to pause, exhale, and receive some of the care you so freely give to others.

We would love to have you join us. 🌿

Female First Responders & Wives of First Responders—this space was created with you in mind. 🌿

If you’re used to carrying the weight, staying ready, and being the strong one… this is a morning to set some of that down.

In collaboration with Jamie, at Mindful Health in Conroe, we’ve created a half-day experience designed to support nervous system regulation and emotional restoration through:

• Brainspotting with Sarah
• Nature-based nervous system support (Forest Therapy–inspired) with Jammie
• Sound Bath with Joni

🗓 June 19th | 9:00–12:00
📍 Mindful Health, Conroe

Spots are intentionally limited to keep the space intimate.
Details + registration in the flyer.

I hope you join us.

Time in nature can shift the body out of “fight or flight” and into “rest and digest” — increasing parasympathetic (calming) activity.

Most of us visit that state briefly…
and then go right back to pushing.

What would it feel like to return there more than once?

This morning’s walks were a gentle noticing of patterns…
how they show up, how they’ve shaped us.

Not with judgment—
but with curiosity.

There’s something about gathering with other women,
moving slowly together,
that reminds my body…

I’m not alone in this thing we call life 🌿
