🏆 DON Honored with a Pennsylvania Downtown Center Townie Award! 💙

We're proud to announce that DON was recognized at the Pennsylvania Downtown Center's Annual Townie Awards, receiving a Townie Award for Building New Castle's East Side Grove.

This award celebrates nearly a decade of dedication, collaboration, and vision to transform Keystone Elm Street Designation -East Side Grove, New Castle, PA into a stronger, more vibrant, and more accessible community. It reflects the hard work of our staff, partners, and supporters who helped make this project a reality. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this incredible achievement—we couldn't have done it without you!

During the Pennsylvania Downtown Conference, the DON "Difference" was on full display as six staff members proudly represented our organization and community alongside leaders and stakeholders from across the Commonwealth.

We were also honored to have Linda Nitch and Anita McKeever present "Building Accessible New Housing in Pennsylvania's Changing Industrial Heartland." Their presentation showcased how DON is creating accessible housing and strengthening communities through innovative development. The session highlighted an approach that has the potential to be replicated in communities throughout Pennsylvania, inspiring others to create more inclusive and accessible neighborhoods.

Thank you to the Pennsylvania Downtown Center for this recognition and to everyone who has been part of the East Side Grove journey. Together, we're building more than housing—we're building stronger communities and expanding opportunities for people to live independently.
