🚑❤️ Powered by Community ❤️🚑

Today, our on duty crews were donated goodie bags from an area Church and Youth Group.

The goodie bags were not only filled with delicious snacks, waters, and shirts but also hand written drawings and notes from the youth group.

It is always an honor to receive support from the community that we serve!

🚑 More Than a Transport 🚑

In EMS crews often don’t get to see the outcome of the patients nor get recognized for the impact they make.

Today AEMT Nikki Clark and EMT Karlee Rust were able to meet two of the patients they made an impact on. Close to 8 months ago AEMT Clark and EMT Rust responded to Henry Community Health - Labor and Delivery for an inter-facility transfer to St. Vincent. The patient, Kai, was 29 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, a life threatening condition to both mother and baby. Kai was visibly scared, stressed, and anxious. AEMT Clark was there by her side the entire transport keeping the patient safe, reassuring her, providing the best care possible, and all while getting Kai to a higher level of care as soon as possible. Baby Finley was born via an Emergency C-Section only a few days later.

After several surgeries Finley and Kai were able to be discharged home. Finley is now a happy healthy 7 month old! They are grateful for the care and compassion AEMT Clark and EMT Rust showed during such a difficult time and we are grateful for their recovery!

Days and moments like these are a constant reminder of the importance of the care and services we provide to Henry County.

9/11/2001

25 years ago today America was devastated with the terror attacks of flights 11, 175, 77, and 93 affecting the Twin Towers, The Pentagon, and Passengers of Flight 93 who regained control and crashed their plane in a Pennsylvania field.

25 years later America has and never will forget these tragedies, the sacrifices, and lives lost.

2,996 lives lost on 9/11 of those 2,753 were killed at the Twin Towers.
343 FDNY Firefighters, 23 New York City Police Officers, and 37 Port Authority Officers lost their lives making the ultimate sacrifice to serve and protect.

On this day, allow us to remember the sacrifices made and the lives lost.
