Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with the staff at Clelian Adult Day Center for Strengthening Resilience Through Self-Care.
We talked about stress, energy, movement, nourishment—and something just as important: the small ways we can support one another during demanding days.
One of the messages I hoped everyone would leave with was simple:
Taking care of the people who spend their days caring for and supporting others matters.
I loved the participation, conversation and willingness of the Clelian team to share their own ideas and experiences. Thank you to Lori Schommer and the entire Clelian team for welcoming me and allowing me to be part of your afternoon.
Small healthy moves—for ourselves and for one another—can make a big difference.

This week I had the opportunity to present Strength to Serve™: Caregiver Wellness, a 3-hour continuing education program focused on helping caregivers reduce stress, restore energy, and build realistic self-care habits.
One of the strongest themes from participant feedback was the value of small, practical strategies—movement snacks, stretching, breathing, better sleep habits, hydration, and simple ways to support energy throughout the day.
Caregivers spend so much time taking care of others. My goal is to help make caring for themselves feel practical, realistic, and possible.
I’m looking forward to continuing to bring caregiver wellness programs to healthcare organizations, senior communities, and caregiver groups.
Small Steps. Meaningful Change.

Do you know someone who spends so much time caring for others that they've forgotten to care for themselves?
Family caregivers and healthcare professionals give so much of themselves every day. Over time, stress, fatigue, poor sleep, and burnout can quietly take a toll.
Next week, I'll be presenting Strength to Serve™: Caregiver Wellness, a 3-hour Continuing Education program through the Connecticut Women's Consortium.
We'll explore practical, evidence-informed strategies to:
💙 Reduce stress
💙 Restore energy
💙 Improve sleep
💙 Build resilience
💙 Create realistic self-care habits that fit into everyday life
If you know a caregiver who could benefit from this program, I'd be grateful if you would share this opportunity with them.
Together, we can help those who spend their lives caring for others remember that their well-being matters, too.
