What does it really mean to break harmful generational cycles?

In collaboration with the Frazier Family Coalition, ASPIRE clinicians Daria Williams, Psy.D., and Sierra Brooks, LPC, joined a discussion about how generational patterns shape our families, influence our mental health, and affect how we seek support, particularly within the Black community.

Breaking these cycles doesn’t mean abandoning our roots. It means honoring the traditions, resilience, and connections that have carried us forward while recognizing patterns we can change to create healthier futures for the next generation.

Tune into the conversation to discover how families can begin to break harmful cycles through open dialogue, community support, and access to mental health resources. Link in bio!
