Thyroid conditions affect millions of Americans, making specialized care important.

In a recent NBC 10 WJAR segment, Dr. Travis Cotton, Chief of Endocrine Surgery at Care New England, discussed thyroid conditions and the care of a local woman whose thyroid cancer had spread to a nearby lymph node.

His message is simple: If you notice a lump, voice changes, pressure, or difficulty swallowing, don’t ignore it. Get it checked.

On September 17, Care New England joined 50 teams at Feed RI’s Mission Impastable, racing to scoop and bag 500 pounds of pasta.

Together, the teams prepared 25,000 pounds of pasta to help Rhode Island families experiencing food insecurity.

Our team finished in just 42 minutes, earning 4th place overall. We may not have taken home the top prize, but we’re proud of the teamwork, dedication, and heart our team brought to the challenge.

Community Health Workers are making a real difference across Rhode Island, and Jamie Nadeau is a powerful example of that impact.

Since joining Integra, Jamie has helped clients navigate challenges, access resources, and move forward with confidence. Her deep community ties, along with her persistence and compassion, help her meet people where they are and provide meaningful support.

This is what Community Health Workers do every day. They listen, advocate, and help turn difficult moments into something more manageable.
